It seems that Wike intentionally sabotaged all the southerners to favor the North. However, I would rather the north have it again if other southern regions cannot support Southeast. South East supported Obasanjo(Southwest), supported Goodluck (south south). But both south southerners and south westerners would rather support a wild animal rather than a south easterner.

But really only Atiku is solidly grounded politically across the 6 geopolitical zones to shake APC in 2023, he narrowly lost to Buhari the most popular Northern politician ever in an election many believe was won by Atiku.
However, Southern PDP voters reaction to the prospect of a Northern presidency after Buhari is yet another kettle of fish. If APC presents a well grounded Southerner ( not Tinubu who can only win West) I see PDP losing by landslide margin in the South to APC. South desperately need a Southern President to rebuild 8 years of total collapse of Nigeria caused by Buhari and his brothers in charge of virtually all sectors.

Southern politicians will never learn! The north will always support their own when it comes to politics as they see Nigeria as their birthright but southern politicians will betray their own to curry favour from the northern political elites who do not value them beyond been pawns in their political game of chess. So far Peter Obi has proven to be the most sensible and pragmatic candidate from the south vying for office of the president of Nigeria.
