When Southerners were in power, they could have changed this narrative. South had Obasanjo and Jonathan, even if it is 1000 people in the new states to balance the North, so be it. That they would have done. If election is by Local governments, then balance the numbers. If the Northerners want to keep overpopulating their area, no problem, but let the Southern get equality in terms of things at the federal level.
