Nairalanders,i'm finished. by HUSTLER001: 7:33am On May 29, 2022 |
I have tried soliciting for funds but non came through so on wednesday,i got a loan of #60,000 from LAPO microfinance bank. I got the loan so that i can get little stream of income while i am still without a job. So,i decided to do POS business since i couldn't afford to run a restaurant with that amount.Thankfully, prior to this time(the time of getting the loan),i'd secured a pos machine where i paid a total of #23,000. So,on thursday,my younger brother set out to run the biz for me.He said he knew someone who has a pos shop at yaba market so i decided that i give him the benefit of doubt while i keep job hunting. To my surprise, this boy made close to #2,000 profit that day and i was happy. The next day being friday,i decided to give him more money since he complained that the money i gave him on thursday wasn't enough. Later in the evening,i received a call from him.He was complaining bitterly that he'd paid a customer the sum of #22,000 even though he hadn't received any credit alert yet. |

Please, bear with me.I'm using a small phone(i sold my smart phone yesterday so that i can get to pay my loan this week). So,i asked him why he had to pay a customer when he hadn't received alert for the transfer the man made. Then he told me the man was still with him and i asked him to give the phone to the customer.I tried my best to convince the customer that my brother made a big mistake by handing him cash when he had not gotten a credit alert. The man said there was nothing he could do about it since he has been debited by his own bank.I told him it could be a failed transaction that would be reversed back in less than 24hours but still he insisted he wouldn't hand over the money back. Then i asked him to hand over the phone to my brother. I quickly make haste to the place and then when i arrived,i couldn't meet him neither did i meet the customer.I became worried and then called him. My brother picked and told me he was in a particular place around the shop premise. |

Fortunately for me,i was in front of the place he described for me.So i called again and notified him i was in front of the place and he quickly hung up.It then dawned on me that my brother just scammed me.I called him severally and he didn't pick up.Yesterday,he sent a text message to my mum telling her that the customer made away with the cash and his phone.I later replied him and asked him to return my pos machine. Up until now,he hasn't done that. I am so depressed right now and don't know what to do. I have a loan obligation of #3,000 to pay weekly for 30 weeks(interest& savings inclusive). I'm just sad right now. |

That's your number 1 lesson in life. Never trust your family members with your business. Most of this immediate family member you are seeing doesn't want you to prosper in life.... Just thank your creator that reveal the true colour of your brother to you on time...imagine if you have traveled abroad and keep sending money to your so called brother of yours to start a building for you... Your so called brother just showed you his true colors 6 Likes |

Rule number one never borrow to start a business reason is most Businesses fail in their first year. You can borrow to expand which i will never advocate. Rule number two never trust anybody with money, never trust anybody with your check book they have a funny way of diverting some of your own to theirs. Learn your lessons and move on Sara Sara pare suffering are lessons. 6 Likes |
