Ijaw produce over 90 percent of all Nigeria's crude oil but are made to suffer.


All Nigeria's offshore oil are in Ijaw areas. apart from the ones on Ijaw land.

Where Ijaw occupy in the Niger Delta is as big as the 5 South East States of which no South East State is truly homogeneous.

Ijaws are found in Eastern Obolo Local government in Akwa Ibom and some clans in that LG belongs to the Ibibios
An average Akwa Ibomite wouldn't like the Obolo's to be in Akwa Ibom but the water that separates Akwa Ibom n Rivers stat

If the the terrain is difficult due to topography characterized by creeks, many rivers, why not engaged ijaw indigenes who works with National Population Commission to do the job for proper census.

That same area is being accessed by INEC officials during elections right

Note, I know Bayelsa State very well, the state is big, but about 50% or more is made up of Rivers&creeks criss-crossing the entire landmass of the state inhabited by few people, that's why they have just 8LGAs, cos u can't create LGA out of creeks were few people are living, Compare to Imo & Anambra which has accessible landmass inhabitated by people, suitable for both farming, indusrialization &other developments to further encourage expansion &migration.

If you capture the ariel view of Bayelsa state, you will know to construct roads to connect those communities in the creeks needs lots of bridges. These doesn't come cheap, The terrain is just very difficult to develop. That's why Governors who have govern Bayelsa State concentrate on part where the terrain Is easy e.g Yenagoa, the state capital, leaving the rest behind.

Since the end of the colonial era, ijo just keep making fallacious claims of land which never belonged to them. And ofcourse they also claim "marginalisation"...
The truth is that ijo are moving into land which is already owned (mostly oil rich land and costlines) and then after the ijo establish their presence in that land, they start to claim that they are indigenous to that land and that the real owners are the migrnats and are marginalising the ijo.
