An Election were by money will be share in Dollars to the deligate. Consensus should be best option to avoid dollar sharing to the deligate.. Some who say Democracy should be allow but they have forgotten the beauty of democracy to avoid bribering... |

femisplash:Thank you. And Buhari tried 4 times and didn’t win until Tinubu came to help. We can’t forget any good thing done to us, can we? |

On the contrary, he has every right to determine shop for a successor. That's the norm in every developed and developing Nation. It has happened in Nigeria severally, it will happen again, heaven will not fall. Spare us the "moral right" thing or whatever you may mean with it please! TimmyTen: |

TimmyTen:Democracy is only beautiful in a democracy where the outcome of election primaries are not determined by shared dollars! Moneybags who want to share share easily have their way. We reject such a democracy. In that case consensus is the best option. The governors who practice it mostly, Tinubu who has practiced it more just had to align. He has no option, let him (them) feel the pain! |

Miracle2020:That is a totally different ball game. Any aspirant can step down for another at the convention. It's totally different from pronouncing someone as consensus on the primary ground. That'll be too late. It can't fly. |

femisplash:I agree. The main opposition party was ACN. I wrote about this in one of my threads where I alleged Buhari has betrayed Tinubu. Tinubu and ACN owned principal equity in APC. Im not sure he left any room in their alliance for dissolution should things go bad and the partnership could not continue. He should have learned from Yoruba and Ibo experience. Do not enter any partnership agreement in Nigerian politics without a backdoor to exit. The man loves Nigeria too much. Look how they treat him now. A ridicule! |

MetaPhysical:Is it logical for Buhari and Osinbajo to betray Tinubu or Tinubu going against Osinbajo and Buhari? |
| Re: APC Governors Consensus Meeting Fails, Postponed To Later this Week by Remman(m): 8:46pm On Jun 01, 2022 |
osinbanjoisaliar:Before Buhari said this, i was even saying that he's the only president in the entire world that would not have a choice of candidate that would succeed him. However, he has proven me wrong. He'll be weak if he's afraid of Tinubu. If OBJ & others were scared, no one would succeed them. Yoruba has enjoyed President for 8years and VP for another 8years that's a total of 16years in power... Let them go and sleep! They're not the only south in the country. I will support Buhari on any decision that he will make. Right now we know that APC candidate will be coming from the south but not the Yoruba south. South west and Atiku should drop their desperation for power and allow our other brothers to go there. If Yoruba must produce the next president then i'll only vote for Osinbajo and not Tinubu. If Tinubu becomes the flag bearer, then i'll vote Atiku instead. |

helinues:It is logical for Buhari to betray Tinubu, and he has done that already...even if he ends up making Tinubu consensus. The ridicule is too much and whatever mythical legend Tinubu was, his egungun has been derobed in market place. It is illogical that in expressing interest to run Osinbajo has betrayed Tinubu. |
| Re: APC Governors Consensus Meeting Fails, Postponed To Later this Week by MetaPhysical: 8:59pm On Jun 01, 2022 |
Remman:Everybody go and become president in their ethnic nation. No more Nigeria. Send Tinubu to Yoruba, send Obi to Biafra and let Buhari and Atiku face Arewa. This is the best outcome. |

MetaPhysical:I don't think Tinubu ever wanted an exit. His main objective unfortunately was opposed to the CPC bloc. Tinubu envisioned a lasting institution, a party that would outclass PDP as the biggest party in Africa. However, CPC led by Buhari only wanted power. They needed a vehicle and whatever happens to the vehicles after they must have arrived at their destination, bothers little. Tinubu was previously primed for VP until internal intrigues prevailed. Buhari should have understood that if Tinubu could let go of his ambition to the benefits of the party, he as much deserves the right of first refusal. Fingers crossed till weekend before I can conclude if he had been ridiculed. |

festacman:Instead it will destroy the APC and tinubu will still hold his Ace in South west politics. No one is saying buhari should not anoint a candidate but let the anointed candidate test his popularity at the primary. Tinubu has never told people not to contest against his anointed candidate. |
| Re: APC Governors Consensus Meeting Fails, Postponed To Later this Week by Donshegxy10(m): 9:40pm On Jun 01, 2022 |
Donaldomo:What are they scared of, let the anointed candidate face tinubu at the primary, if tinubu lose at the primary he will happily support the candidate that won , without a primary election APC will fall into pieces. |
