Help I Have Been Duped !!! by Hardey33: 12:17pm On Jun 03, 2022
So I met this guy on jiji. He sold me Samsung A32 for 75k only for me to get home and detect the phone was bought on loan (MKOPA) and it was locked that same day 28/05/2022. I contacted MKOPA and they said the only way is to get the login info used to buy the phone before I can pay off the loan. I have used other numbers to call the guy but the SIM is no longer active.
I have the guy details. He is an OOU student, physics department and I know his matric no ( I asked of his ID card that day cause of my suspicions).
I thought of involving the police but I don't have any money to process their investigations as per Nigerian standard.
Please what should I do

Try to flash the phone to it default is, but you should have checked the phone properly before dealing
You still need to expose the guy

Do a clean rom format(all) with a flash tool
Then flash a factory firmware or custom ROM.

Use the internet or visit XDA

Google your phone model flash file taking note of the model number so you don't flash the wrong firmware

Download Samsung skies, Odin and Samsung drivers then follow instructions on how to flash.

Instead of telling him how to catch the guy , you are encouraging other people on how to buy phones on credit, then flash it , flash koor flash Nii... If you don't know what to say ,keep shut and stop promoting theft!.

OP, there are a lot of ways to track the greedy thief , even manually going to his school and department, they will fish him out , the company that gave him the phone also has credible informations about the thief and don't forget to report to jiji too.Stop being too emotional and act up like a Man abeg !

He initially requested for a solution to use the phone since he paid for it.

Not withstanding, the account through which the phone was bought would still be debited or placed on P.N.D until payment is full.

The criminal can be apprehended through the KYC data/information submitted before procuring the loan which be fully released by the loan firm if pursued legally (but not worth it since)
