Ukraine's foreign minister Dmytro Kuleba says "calls to avoid humiliation of Russia can only humiliate France and every other country that would call for it.


Ukraine's foreign minister has criticised Emmanuel Macron after the French leader said Russia must not be "humiliated" over the invasion of its neighbour.

In an interview with a regional newspaper, Mr Macron said: "We must not humiliate Russia so that the day when the fighting stops we can build an exit ramp through diplomatic means."


He added that he was "convinced that it is France's role to be a mediating power".

The president's comments come as Russia's invasion of Ukraine has passed its 100-day mark, with intense fighting between Russian and Ukrainian forces in the Donbas region.

In response to Mr Macron, Ukraine's foreign minister Dmytro Kuleba tweeted: "Calls to avoid humiliation of Russia can only humiliate France and every other country that would call for it."

He added: "We all better focus on how to put Russia in its place".


Mr Macron has spoken to Russia's president Vladimir Putin a number of times on the phone in an effort to encourage negotiations between the two sides.

Russia is close to capturing all of Luhansk, one of two southern Ukrainian regions that make up the swathe of land known as the Donbas.

It has also escalated attacks around Bakhmut, a city in Donetsk, the other province that makes up the Donbas, the Ukrainian military said.

My advice is for you to take heart

The joke is actually on Ukraine, but it’s FM didn’t get the memo! Which country has been decimated? Which country currently has its citizenry trooping all over the world as refugees? Which country as of today has lost 1/5th of its territory ( the most industrialized part)? Which country is currently landlocked artificially? Which country is currently being flattened daily despite billions of dollars of aids and ammunitions?

Now let’s reverse! Which country has earned an excess in sales of oil/gas despite western efforts to wreck it financially? Which currency is the best performing currency that it’s central bank is currently fighting to halt its excess appreciation despite global efforts to turn it to tissue paper?( if your currency becomes too strong, it’s bad for exports but makes imports very cheap, so you need to strike a balance!)

In retrospect! Which block has in the name of sanctioning another been hit by massive inflations, energy price hikes, and food shortages?

The answer to these issues clearly points out who has already been humiliated! Western leaders know they have lost out and will lose more if they don’t negotiate now and end the war, but don’t know how to admit and come to negotiate without losing face and PR. So they want to make it look like they wish to negotiate so as not to humiliate who has already humiliated them!! They have been stylishly calling for negotiations from the Macron/Olaf call to Putin, they also asked Erdogan to help, now all their media has changed tune. What suddenly happened to “we must defeat Russia on the battlefield” -EU president?
