Apparently this drama will not end soon. After the long waited “preferred consensus candidate” by the presidency , Buhari failed to name no one as the consensus candidate and seems the president chickened out at the last minute. ..

It can either be two things :
• President Buhari realized you cannot easily take away the mandate of the man who helped you win the 2015 election without giving him a chance to contest for the highest office in the country . Would you wish to break up the party easily with that destructive consensus move? The consequences will indeed be more than what the party can handle ..

• The second one, this might be a plot by the presidency to Indirectly support another southerner loyal to their imagined plot for the “ Fear of JAGABAN , is the beginning of Wisdom”

That Ogun State outburst was planned out and it appears it has worked out. I knew Buhari had chickened out when I saw a stylish withdrawal of his initial position by femi Adesina. Buhari made the right decision for not endorsing anyone. Let the strongest person emerge from a transparent process.
