To those doubting Tinubu chances at the general election should know he has effectively hijacked Buhari structure in the North with his foot soldiers. He will get same votes as Buhari from the north.
All he has to worry about is the southern votes.
If Tinubu stay alive till election day, he's the president in waiting.

This statement made me laugh a bit. This is not APC primaries where you talk about party structure and delegates. If Bola Tinubu picks a Muslim Muslim ticket, the chances of him winning decreases, if he picks a Christian as his running mate, his chances of winning decrease even further because northerners won’t vote for a ticket without one of them on it. I don’t see APC to retaining power

Federal might will count for him. Tinibu's chances are brighter than Atiku's. Any northerner that is not Buhari can never have the kind of support you guys are thinking of. A typical Hausa man will vote for whoever his bosses said he should except of course Buhari is on the ballot, and in this case the northern governors are for Tinibu.

Party structure is not national politics. They're giving Obi an advantage of being the only Christian in a three horse race after having a Muslim lead the country for eight years. Nigeria is heavily divided along religious lines currently and this definitely will result much more people voting along religious lines. After the performance of Buhari, a Christian VP most likely will not fly for Christians.

Even if Obi doesn't win, he'll come close. The coming election will be a real fight between three people.
