deekseen:Even though my judgment of Obi may be incorrect, my major point is he will not win. His not winning will only empower the APC at the elections. My major point is choosing between the devil and the deep blue sea. Obi should pay his dues like others and go back to PDP. He was a part of them afterall until things didn't go his way. |

Wike as vice will not be able to anything. |

SO fulani is no longer killing Nigerians? The North and northerners no longer trying to fulanize/islamatize the South and Nigeria? Atiku is suddenly now an option? A core Fulani man with 4 wives and multiple concubines? So Fulanis are no longer murderers and killers? |

FreedomDynamics:This was same reason we put Buhari there 2015 as an experienced man in the military to handle the insecurities but the reverse became the case. Besides VP has no strong influence, even a state governor has more influence than a VP, if Wike was a deputy governor nobody will hear his name and if tries to show his head they will press it down, Let's just tell ourselves the truth. If voting Obi is a waste of vote, I rather do that and have my conscience at rest than bringing another disaster. |

CilicMarin:You mean same Tinubu that his speech made Edo people sing "Edo no be Lagos" and re-elected Obaseki even though they no he is not performing, because they don't want to entertain Godfatherism in the state. |

dannyville2:Buhari actually wanted power to shift to southeast. Nwajuiba I guess was his preferred candidate but the owners of the party (Governors) majorly from the north refused consensus and insisted on primary knowing full well the young lad had no chance. Now the permutation is simple, Tinubu will chose a more credible running mate than him from northern part who will eventually be the president. For Atiku, he is not reckoned with in the north. 1,They perceived him as a foreigner (BANZA) 2, He can't chose a running mate from north and choosing from SS and SE will hurt him the more especially SE. And definitely he can not chose from the north. And back to your questions of who am I supporting, my dear brother I will just sit back and watch events unfold. |

KanwuliaExtra:Political structure you mean by the highest bidder? No be same human beings that made APC/PDP popular will still make Obi/LP popular, and there's still 8 months plus to election and you are concluding already and besides you don't even know who OBI will pick as VP from the north. |

Risentouch:There is a VP and the is VP. Does this mean when Obi was taken as VP, he wouldn't be influential or effective? |

FreedomDynamics:Your opinion but it's flawed. Firstly, vice Presidents can't effect any change and are always at the mercy of their principal. The moment Wike tries to punch above his weight, he would be sidelined and made irrelevant in the scheme of things. Wike has no base that would act as pressure groups should he be intimidated and that would make it easy for him to be silenced easily. You're right when you said that most of Peter Obi's supporters are the elite/educated class but wrong when you underestimate their influence. That demography controls the social media with vast number of followers who see their wish as their own command! Also, they're relatively rich and influential in real life. They're the business owners, philanthropists and bread winners and thus are often able to influence the thought process of their employees, family members, kinsmen, church/mosque members, friends etc. They've started pushing people to get their PVC and are already telling them to get prepared to vote Obi on election day. Peter Obi is more of a threat to Tinubu than even Atiku depending on how you view it. Most of Obi's supporters are from South, particularly SE, SS and Lagos/Abuja. Atiku is from North, so if he can't get enough votes NE and NW to give himself a serious advantage then he deserves to fail. Lastly, most of those currently supporting Obi passionately are those who had already given up on Nigeria. Most of them don't even participate in elections because they see it as useless when they would still be forced to choose between demon and dragon. Therefore, if it becomes a contest between Tinubu and Atiku alone, they would simply return to their cocoons. The fact you choose to support Atiku if he uses Wike as Vice shows you were never a passionate supporter of Peter Obi. |

Mossadd:This is beautiful. It's time we tell ourselves the truth. The north is not enlightened enough to vote peter Obi. We all want him to win because he can fix Nigeria, but he can't do much as VP. It will just be the same as PMB/pyo. But with Peter obi as either president or minister, we can feel his effect from there. I believe Atiku will open a ministerial position for him. if obi is made finance minister under Atiku then it means Atiku is serious to work Nigeria for good. Then we can fully vote Atiku. Even though we have always known that Atiku is better than Tinubu; business wise Atiku is better, security nko...I am not to sure. Perhaps Tinubu may be better in security. I have a lot against Tinubu. From Tinubu talking about improving the reward system in APC fully shows he has sold out Nigeria at any price just to be President. He did it before by installing PMB and he's doing it again now by buying the northern APC governors n bigwigs to stand by him. His supporters won't see this but Nigeria is already finished under him in this primaries before he is even president. No technocrats but promises and reward systems to the APC north just to be president. This means all critical positions have been hijacked by godfathers for him to emerge as presidential candidate. Health wise too he is not. All these make Atiku more suitable for Nigeria. Once Atiku is ready to put peter obi in charge of finance (but how can we know this) then he have my vote and more votes will come to him by reaching out to Peter obi supporters. Indeed let's agree on something, peter has followers and Atiku needs them(us) but he should be logical and be advised to reach out to Obi. He won last election with obi, this is massive southern support. He should be advised to gather Obi followers so that he can beat Tinubu with clear margin. agberos will want to scatter election in the south so their boss can win. Wike as VP is ok because he will really fight for this election. That guy is strong, he really gave Atiku a run for his money. But When in aso rock I hope they can work together; perhaps cos wike will want Atiku blessings so he can succeed him. |

Risentouch:what I was saying is Osinbajo is Osinbajo while Wike is Wike. Osinbajo was placed there by Tinubu who happens to be the influence...keyword is what? "Influence". Now let's say Wike becomes VP, Wike comes as THE "influence" because he is influential and consequential to Atiku becoming President. He can address powerful politicians and they will listen, unlike Osinbajo who was merely picked and functions as a 'place-holder' for Tinubu. By this, you can already see what kind of VP Wike is going to be. |

You could have simply said you will vote him because he's your brother. Stop trying to prove a useless point. |

@freedomdynamics, obi is not power hungry. Take time and listen to the man. But being president is where we can fully feel his effects. |

Assetinvestor:You almost immediately shot yourself on the foot by the boldened. Wike is pressure itself. He fought the FG, Buhari, the Army the police etc. A lot of politicians are indebted to him You're right when you said that most of Peter Obi's supporters are the elite/educated class but wrong when you underestimate their influence. That demography controls the social media with vast number of followers who see their wish as their own command! Also, they're relatively rich and influential in real life. That may not be true, but that's how the elite/educated compare in voting power to the 'masses'. I was miffed to see people rejoicing during the APC convention after seeing how Tinubu'shands were shaking. You underestimate Tinubu. The North will vote him at the click of Buhari's finger which had already happened. When it comes to religion, he has reasons to be voted by both Christians and Muslims. He also has the rationality of power shift from north to south backing him. I do not want to mention tribe. Lastly, most of those currently supporting Obi passionately are those who had already given up on Nigeria. Most of them don't even participate in elections because they see it as useless when they would still be forced to choose between demon and dragon. Therefore, if it becomes a contest between Tinubu and Atiku alone, they would simply return to their cocoons.I am not a passionate supporter of Obi because emotions hardly form a reliable motivation for action. I am being pragmatic and objective. I know Obi will not have an audience to the majority in view of several factors. Do you know why most Nigerians excel the moment they leave the country? It's because the country is not compatible. Going with passion and emotion over objectivity is folly indeed. It is folly also to empower Tinubu over Atiku which Obi had been part of all the while until things didn't go his way. |

richie3384:He will be patient if he is not power-hungry. Atiku and Obi won the general elections earlier. They were robbed of this but Atiku called for calm. Goodluck Jonathan further did this too. Patience and selflessness, and integrity. Look at how Wike behaved despite his financial loss and betrayal by someone he supported and trusted. I am sure someone else will call for his supporters to rebel and scatter the whole PDP. Obi going to LP knowing he is not winning if you must know is to just to punish PDP and nothing more. He wants to be the spoiler factor. It's like sleeping with your girlfriend's friend for cheating on you. |
| Re: I Am Not Voting Obi Again If Wike Is Vice President by Kundagarten: 11:35am On Jun 09, 2022 |
CilicMarin:Tinubu would win 50% of votes in Rivers with Wike on the ballot? What are you smoking? Tinubu would do well among the Itsekiri in Delta because of his wife. Last time I checked PDP is still the party to beat in Bayelsa. The only place Tinubu will do well in the SS is Edo. Edo central is traditionally PDP and would remain so considering they're next in line to produce gov of Edo state. With Atiku winning the North, there's no possible way APC would win 2023 elections. |
