Way to go prof. Asiwaju's victory is sweeter because he fought for it among worthy opponents. If it is given on a platter without a fight it will not be valued. There's no need insulting those who dared to compete, they made Asiwaju's victory something he will cherish deeply. Now we know he is not a weakling because he fought and won. He fought because others provided a fight. I probably will not respect his political reach as much as I do today if it was given to him on a platter.

Peter obi the most qualified Candidate will come second.

Anyways as for me, I am voting in Peter Obi.. even though he looses.

We were under the impression that Osinbajo had the full backing of the president and the presidency.
What eventually played out was not so. Having stayed with the president and the cabals for so long, one would have expected the VP to have known if they (Buhari and Cabals) were sincere with him or were just playing political games.
Osinbajo obviously misread their motives.
Very unfortunately, just like Awolowo, Nigeria missed another opportunity to have a good and worthy President!

IMO, this is exactly what he his suppose to do. Politics is a mind game, and you have to play it well. He has to congratulate him, so they can be friends again. He can't be fighting a lost battle against Tinubu, his long term friend. As Bible said & I quote "Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves. Be ye therefore wise as serpents and harmless as doves". Nigeria politics is not for the innocent, PYO is not innocent at all, he is just a super intelligent, and exposed being, which is what Nigeria needs and not necessarily a man who doesn't steal.

He helped push startups like Andela, Flutterwave, and others in Silicon valley giving the foreign investors a vote of confidence that the government will not trample upon their investment. Techies are reaping the rewards. PYO is one of the many reasons Nigerian techies are earning well today.

In terms of funding, I am sure he also made some money in politics too, he cannot leave the ruling party lest he expose himself to scrutiny. They both run companies together named Alpha Beta. It serves is a conduit pipe for corruption and both Tinubu and Osinbajo. Alpha Beta is a consulting firm in charge of computation, tracking, and reconciliation of Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) for the Lagos State Government in return for a commission. Osinbajo served in Tinubu's government between 1999-2007 as the state Commissioner of Justice.

I just love PYO, because he fought till the end, not ending up like a coward.

I don't like Wike but I also love how he fought hard too, a cowardice lifestyle irritates me.

2. Tinubu re-paid most of the Governors 80 Million used to purchase the form for the those who stepped down.

3. Rotimi Amaechi, who declared his own intention by jogging round a stadium in Rivers State in a bid to as he tried to show Nigerians that he is physically fit for the office of the President, is also reported to be said to be distributing thirty thousand US Dollars ($30,000) with a Toyota Camry vehicle to each delegate willing to vote for him.

4. PYO also offered money, but doesn't have so much money to spend compared to the two men above. He doesn't have such money, period!

Elections are not won by innocence or sentiments, you have to be a realist, and accept reality for what it is. This is not America, this is Nigeria. If we go about with this type of sentiments for Peter Obi, we will lose woefully. Politics is a dirty game, you have to play it whether you like it or not.
