Road markings come strange to you Kenya because your roads hardly have any safety features and you wonder why your roads crash deaths are so high.

Learn to mark your roads, zebra crossing, overtaking marking with broken lines to signal allowed and with continuous markings to signal not allowed.
Road boundaries markings and road shoulders markings ... All of which are very important.

I believe you are describing Accra more because it's the only place i have come to discover that you can't drive maximum of three minutes without coming across something not so pleasing,it either there is a dust,or lotto kiosk or umbrella shades or containers or uncompleted building or empty land to see,there is no balance in the street view always mismatch and mishap kind of streets,Avenue or boulevard. If you think i am lieing ask pokuase.someone even described it as a grandmother's house were you find somethings old and others new,something rightly placed,and others not so well placed .

That is a primitive way... We're in 2022 and only electronic systems should be a point of contention.

In Kenya, we use Optics or retroreflective glass beads that take care of overly painted work--- we also have other road markings that don't reflect during the day but shine their way out during the night.

We're not in the stone age period like Ghana. Don't be a zombie
