Nameflow:I had the P0705 on my honda 2006 v6 accord, all you have to do is change this sensor and it would resolve the problem. Parts dealer/Mechanics call it counting switch, to access/see it, you have to loose out the front driver side tire. it is mounted at the bottom of the transmission covered with a black plastic. You might be able to get it from Luvinhubby on nairaland

abinsco25:Boss, I'm not a mechanic but I had the same issue with my car, I will tell you what I did for mine to stop - First scan the car - service the nozzles - clean the throttle body - check the throttle cable if it's set properly because is has a recommendef setting which most people don't know - look for a good Honda technician to set the the throttle position sensor to the correct degree or position or change the sensor completely - make sure all the sensors on the throttle body are in good working conditions - lastly, service your gear if it's due and make sure you are using the correct Honda and original recommended ATF for your gear These are the things I did and my car stopped jerking totally, I hope it helps. |

Conner44:I have similar issue with my 04 MDX. I bought it Naija used. No thermostat, direct wiring. Now I've been able to get thermostat but it seems my rewire can't revert the fans back to factory settings.. at least the AC fan works with the compressor but the main fan works as soon as engine is started. It shouldn't be that difficult.. should it? |

SeyiJayden:It could be dirty, low or wrong fluid in your car. Painful part is that you may throw money around and still could not fix it. I would rather advise you to get a toks gear box for about 100k Make sure you use the original Honda gear oil always |

Scanned my car and got three codes early June. I decided to tackle them as my power reach. Bought a knock sensor and Oxygen sensor from our own luvinghubby. That man delivers mehn. The two error codes P0325 and P0135 has cleared. It is remaining the P2184 error code. How do I go about clearing that stuff brothers. I want to remove that check engine light on my instrument cluster.

vivalavida:Nice Is your radiator fan always on? Or does it come on when hot and go off later? Locate the coolant sensor on the radiator. Is the wire connected? Has it been worked on before? Trace the wire as far back as you can and see if there is any damage to its tubing/conduit hose. Lastly, you may need to replace the coolant sensor also, but check the above listed things first. |

Good morning luvinhubby, I noticed a oil leakage on the floor this morning and when I checked, it was coming from the gearbox side, I took it to the mechanic and he said it's the oil seal. He said i might need to top the oil. This is why I'm scared, I asked him which oil he is going to use, he mentioned a brand name I don't really knw, I don't knw the oil used for the gear already because I bought it the car in January. I'm confused, please help. The car is an accord 07 |

| Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Conner44: 11:06am On Jun 19, 2022 |
HenryWilliams:So far you’ve put the thermostat back into the engine then you’ve solved 90% of the problem. Your cooling fan working immediately you turn the ignition key would not affect the vehicles temperature anymore as far as the thermostat is working well. The only thing the direct fan wiring can affect is the longevity of the fans engine. Meaning instead of the cooling fan to work for 10yrs it’s lifespan will be reduced to like 8yrs. To me it’s not a big deal anymore if you can’t find the cooling fan switch to buy and install into the bottom of your radiator (that is the switch that controls the cooling fan working intermittently instead of directly) |

| Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by HeavenlyBang(m): 11:11am On Jun 19, 2022 |
Conner44:Honda oil life monitoring doesn't use mileage as far as I know. Uses things like number of cold starts, engine loads, rpms, etc since the last oil change. |
| Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Conner44: 12:01pm On Jun 19, 2022 |
HeavenlyBang:True true. Some newer model vehicles also specify only synthetic fluids and include its parameters into the oil life monitor. If you use conventional oil in such a vehicle and follow its ‘synthetic’ olm you will be in for a very rude shock when the sludge starts dancing in the sump and valve head. |

Abeg I just changed my honda civic engine but the car isn't working fine......scanned it brought some codes. The kazim said it's rewire palava blah blah ......also the fuel pump fuse misbehaves....but if they touch touch some fuse it'll work. |
| Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Conner44: 5:49pm On Jun 19, 2022 |
Thurmieee:Oga go back to the person that scanned your vehicle and tell him to give you the codes he saw. Bring it here for better advice. Then when next your fuel pump fuse is ‘misbehaving’ take special note of the fuses(s) or other stuff that your mechanic used to ‘touch-touch’ and it will correct itself. Bring your findings here too for better advice. |
| Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Thurmieee: 1:19pm On Jun 20, 2022 |
Thurmieee:This are the codes
|
| Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Conner44: 3:42pm On Jun 20, 2022 |
Thurmieee:When you said your vehicle isn’t working fine tell us what are the symptoms that it’s giving you as you drive (what are the problems you’re experiencing) According to your scanned codes The MAP is a sensor located on your engines intake manifold (the four pipe-like stuffs that are joined together with your engine). Check if its wiring from the harness is plugged in properly or change the sensor totally if it’s wiring is looking okay. When this sensor malfunctions if you start the vehicle and try to step on your throttle pedal you will bog the engine down and it will trip off. For the ECT problem if your vehicle has no thermostat installed and it’s cooling fan wired to work continuously from when you turn your ignition switch on this will be the cause of this problem. You need to check the ECT sensor that is situated at the bottom rail of your radiator and see if it’s there. Check if its wiring from the harness is plugged in properly or change the sensor totally if it’s wiring is looking okay. If this sensor is giving issues you’d have poor fuel management. The IAT is a sensor located on one of the plastic tubing going from your intake resonator (air box) to your injector mouth (throttle body). Check if its wiring from the harness is plugged in properly or change the sensor totally if it’s wiring is looking okay. Failure of this sensor will make your engine not idle properly and use much more fuel to stay alive. For your other codes you should have tapped on it so it displays the specific code instead of the general ones. |
