PDP Is The Only Organized Party In Nigeria: Opinion By Adesoji Michael by Zenzu01(m): 8:46pm On Jun 17, 2022
Ahead of the 2023 presidential and general elections, PDP has proven on different occasions to be the most prepared and the party with the best political structure.

PDP was able to organize the presidential primary election smoothly. PDP was also able to meet up with the initial date it set for the primary.

This is something APC wasn't able to do. INEC postponed the deadline for primaries elections and several occasions because the rulling party wasn't prepared. Even to screen the presidential candidates was a war.

Nigerians witness so many blunders from the party leadership and they were all talking from different mouths.

The APC chairman announced Ahmad Lawal as the consensus candidate which the NWC distance themselves from. This is a bad sign as the chairman made it looked as if he's the campaign manager of an aspirant instead of working for the interest of all the aspirants.

Even the president is worse. He started with telling the governors that he wished to choose his successor. The whole country waited for his preferred candidate in vain. This made me feel that even the president as the leader of the party is clueless.

The governors tried in maintaining a stand. They supported a shift of power to the south and stood by that decision. That was really applaudable. Not because they wanted to zone power to the south but because they knew what they wanted and strategically planned to make it happen.

Then time for primaries came, you'll think that the rulling party will lead while other follow. That wasn't the case as they postponed the date of their presidential primary election more than twice.

The election even took three days before a winner was announced. To me, it looked like they didn't even plan well.

PDP held their primary election on the date set and everything was concluded and a winner announced the same day. The process was transparent so there was no room for fraudulent activities. (This doesn't include sorting of delegates of course)

Now coming to choosing a running mate for the presidential candidates of each party, only PDP was able to beat INEC's deadline and submitted a verified VP candidate.

This is another area APC failed again. I wonder if the APC NWC know what they're doing at all. I think the chairman doesn't have any strategy.

They should have considered all the necessary factors before settling for a presidential candidate.

I'm of the opinion that only Tinubu knows what he's doing in APC. The rest of them except from some governors are just clueless.

The cabal are just being selfish, that's why they can't make the right decision. It's this their indecisiveness that will cost the party the presidency in the 2023 general elections.

To make the matter worse, how can APC still submit Ahmad Lawal's name as their candidate for a senatorial position that he didn't contest for. APC is at risk of being disqualified and this will cheaply hand over the seat to PDP.

With this, I can clearly say that PDP is more prepared than APC as a party. It's only Tinubu that is prepared in the whole of the party and his party men may end of costing him the presidency.

I didn't mention labor party because they're still building their structure. Besides they also have many internal crisis that Obi needs to sort out ASAP.

NNPP may just end up winning only Kano state. Aside that, the party doesn't have any hope to be honest.

Note: I'm not supporting Atiku or PDP oo. I just only needed to share my opinion.

APC is a well organized party

Do you really mean what you said.

With all the points the OP brought out up there.

To also add to it, in Akwa Ibom state, APC does not have Governorship candidate because their primary election was mess up with the two factions that they have. They also submitted Godswill Akpabio names as senatorial candidate just like Ahmed Lawal.

Like the OP said, Tinubu was fully prepare to contest in this election, whether he is fully prepare to govern is what I don't know.
APC as a party the are somehow very confuse people.

It's your likes that will spoil Obi's campaign. Being prepared is a major objective for a party when governing a country like Nigeria.

Remember how we wasted almost a year waiting for Buhari to pick his cabinet members?

I bet ATIKU already had his blue print. Nigeria needs quick solutions. No trial No error
