You're super right especially on transportation sector is largely undeveloped, opportunities are in intracity luxurious buses, multi level car park, bus terminals etc .

But coming to the new market at Douglas, I won't fault it, only that after completion, the market should be heavily organized.

Tourism sector opportunities is limitless, what crystal lake resort is doing on its small way is worthy of emulation, people now leave Owerri to Oguta for holidays.
Apart from recreation park, I will suggest strongly a water park it will make Owerri stand out city in the tourism industry.

In my view i believe Imo state need to invest in the hospitality sector very well many people come to owerri to have a good time if they can capitalize on it the igr of this state would boom , build more pleasure parks where youths can hangout and have good time and have fun, fully utilize oguta lake by bringing cruise boats and other things let spread developments away from Owerri to other places

the transportation business in imo state needs to be looked into they is money there I don't know why they are building a mall in ekonuwa market at Douglas tho it's not needed at all they need to discongest that Douglas market its making Owerri so dirty and criminals are back there .

Rochas own was demolished, to give way for this one, just call it a modern market, that's coming with it's own multi level car park. Though it's a PPP project initiated the current administration

I am really impressed by the infrastructural development in Imo state , the roads are gradually getting better though more needs to be done but so far so good. After the road revolution, the Imo state government should declare state of emergency on sanitation and employ proper waste management. Provision of waste recycling plants is one of the best way to manage waste. Something urgently needs to done about Douglas and Wetheral junction. Wetheral junction is gradually turning into a park and market.

not only Wetheral junction everywhere in oweri is dirty and car just park anyhow, there is meant to be dedicated parks and good waste management but nothing is happening , they would blame it on the rain as usual

Imo State has been churning out people who don't know their left from their right as governors. This is just the consequence. A state of many educated people that keeps producing mediocres as governors. SMH.

The results are obvious: population bang in Owerri, as the present gov is worst in refusal of govt devt outside Owerri; roads in old Owerri are now markets; people build indiscriminately in the city. After every rain, floods force residents to stay off the streets of old Owerri.
Hope Uzodinma's case is also worsened by his hiring an equally narrow-minded person from Mgbidi as intellectual/ideological driver of his government.
The OTELLECTUAL does not recognise any other place in Imo state outside the state capital as deserving of govt modern development. He also played similar roles during Ohakim administration. In 4 years, Ohakim govt hardly rebuilt, or built, any new street in Okigwe and Orlu.

I think the rain has hampered the work

They always use the rain as excuses rochas even said "acidic rain spoilt his road" during his tenure, went to rivers few days back and they are constructing bridge's and roads even with rain upset but here in imo we are always given excuses but does the rain stop allocations from coming??
