Of course it's a technicality. It would only fail if the placeholder goes renegade and refuses to resign |

Nigerians know how to circumvent the grey areas of every law ![]() I think the law should be amended in a way that they must provide a running mate before official campaigns start. This is more reasonable. |

Kwankwaso should get ready to lose again because he just made a very big mistake. Beyond the north, he's an unknown entity. & he would most definitely share northern votes with Atiku. If not for Peter Obi, i wouldn't even have known that the name Kwankwaso exists. There's no way he can win the presidential election with only northern votes. His best option would have been to collaborate with Obi. But unfortunately northerners are always greedy, & they feel ruling Nigeria is forever their birthright. |

donaldking10:For you not to know who RMK is, then you're a 'Toddler's last child' in Politics. Is obi known in the North? At least he could Nominate a VP outside the North, Obi should do the same ![]() |

SmartPolician:That is the law. INEC can't force anybody to remain VP candidate if they decide to go. The only way it can be done is say that if a VP goes, the candidate goes as well. That will stop the nonsense. |

What happened to Ahmed Lawal will happen again. Masari will not withdraw except Tinibu chooses a Fulani Muslim. Watch out A Fulani muslim must either be in president, vice or Senate. GEJ administration had no Fulani Muslim so it was easy to make his regime difficult |

| Re: INEC: No Presidential Candidate Indicated Placeholder When Submitting Nomination by MrMcJay(m): 9:42pm On Jun 20, 2022 |
donaldking10:This is not right on many grounds. 1. It is not compulsory for someone to join forces with you. 2. Kwankwaso sees himself as a regional powerhouse and he can never deputise for Obi. Instead, he will nominate a Vice to Obi and come back after 8 years. 3. Don't because you are campaigning for Obi, you insult the largest voting bloc in an election year. |
