I did not care about politics in the past.

I have never voted, I refused to participate in political discussions until recently.

Now, I'd like to really get involved - attend Ward Meetings, go for rallies and so on.

The problem is I do not know which party to join.

Sincerely, I feel the youths' proclamation of Peter Obi and all these slangs are just a reenactment of what happened in 2015.

They want a Messiah which I do not think any of our current contenders are.

Anyway, I'd like to seek your help on which party:
✓ cares for the masses mostly,
✓ offers the most benefits to their members in terms of jobs, connections, etc.
✓ gives the best platform for a possible future political career?

Thank You.

PS: Someone should please tell Seun to create a poll function. It is really necessary.

I play local politics and I'm okay with it for now. Bros I have to be sincere with you, if you're a business man like me, any ruling party in your state is the best party to join. Even if you don't follow them share money, there are many other opportunities for you like government jobs, contracts and appointments as long as you hold your ward tight. But if you want to play abuja politics, you better join apc. E get why.

So should I join APC who will win if they spend or PDP?

With this kind of mindset, you aren't ready for politics, don't end up in years to come like the cabals we have already.

So the youths of then won't swear and rain curses on you

You are going into politics for you personal gains. It's not the best approach. I'm very honest with you

For what other reasons do people go into politics or do anything else for that matter?

If you don't benefit from something - even if it is just the happiness of helping others - you won't do it.

Also for now, I have no plans contesting for anything however if the opportunity comes up, I definitely will not reject it.

Lastly, I am not going into politics merely for self-gratification. While I am not a saint, I still consider myself a good person. I also know how I have suffered under this administration. I can't subject others to the same.

My brother, it is good to want to join the status quo, but the best gift you can give your children and future generations is to change the status quo

These are not common words, do with it as you please

I have first hand knowledge of what it feels like to be a politician, grassroots politics, student politics and online politiking. I've seen it all.

And I realized that set interest is often a name to human existence but in all, the interest of many and not just one should always come first.

We have both suffered under this government. True. Yet , we can still make a difference. Like they say nothing lasts forever and only nothing lasts forever
