Inasmuch as these pieces of shit and never do wells can be cruel and brutal when robbing their victims I think the sentence is a bit harsh if the robbery didn’t lead to death or injury to any of the victims of their nefarious activities and if the police were able to recover some of the money then a very lengthy jail term would suffice or life imprisonments with eligibility for parole after 50years served!

The only crime that leads to death sentencing is “taking another’s life’ as stated in section 319 of criminal law (2004).
I understand this judgment was made in line with Lagos law, it’ll therefore be appealed and the highest they can get is life in prisonment, but the expected year for them to serve is 14years.

They both attract death penalty

Is it just robbery or armed robbery? I read the article and I could NOT find anywhere it was stated that there was any weapon involved in the robbery. Not that I support or condone any form of criminality but what attracted my attention, hence my comment was the sentence that was handed down for what seemed to be an ordinary robbery.

Armed robbery is punishable by death if convicted while fraud is seven years or less if convicted.

Why are they not passing this kind of judgement to our politicians. Nigeria judges are hypocrise.

I can see lots of comment saying Nigeria judiciary is scam,well it's not new to withness such judiciary in a country like Nigeria well the rice are worshiped

We can only blame/fault ourself for not having monetary power capable of making people do what we want or help people how we want which in returns gain their loyalty,it's crazy but that is the country we live in which also occurs in some places around the world

Now the victims of this guys robbery might be traumatized which is crazy i tell you fact because some might develop HBP due to been overly cautious about there surroundings while walking because of the trauma,no peace of mind.

Left to me I prefer such justice be carried out on all criminals caught,I tell fact crime would reduce and our politicians would become fearfully of the mass because they known that a little spark might end up burning them.

This is the kind of case technicality of law plays a huge part.
It depends on the height of evidence presented to the court of appeal, then the judge will use it and give judgment at his own discretion although in accordance with the law.

Las las, if the judge says he’s going through the constitution, life imprisonment.
If based on technicalities, defense approach then they would witness some number of years not less than 14 years
