This is wack Judgement, tell me any politician in this country that has been sentenced to death for stealing, they should appeal the case abeg, the law they say is only for poor people.

Nothing like wack judgment here. Armed robbery and criminality is a choice. We are all suffering in this country. No individual who is going through what everyone else is going through deserve to be robbed of the little that they have. And as for the polithiefians, they should all thank their stars that I'm not God. Cos if so ehn, they will all avoid Nigeria like plague ah swear... angry

They stole #110,000 naira without killing anyone, but someone currently in an hospital in france stole billions, diverted 10% tax returns of a state to his own personal purse, innocent youths were killed while protesting, yet he somehow managed to emerge as a party flagbearer for the nation's ruling party.

But someone who stole 180billion was granted bail?
What's the difference between an armed robber and somone that commits official fraud?

Bro politicians in Akwa ibom fears that judge to death. Politicians who stands criminal trials in court in uyo do pay huge sum of bribe for okon okon not to be the presiding judge of their case.

That accountant general that stole 80billion if okon presides over his case, he's a dead man.
That judge okon don't take bribe nor any rubbish.

One stole by arms wilhile the other stole with a pen.

The law is clear about that, death is the punishment for arm robbery and not corruption.

Mkporu miri cannibals are always upset when criminals are convicted.

They were sentenced based on the type of crime commited not on the amount stolen.

In as much crime is forbidden in our society, this sentence is wrong.
Before you quote me, I’m a lawyer.

The only crime that leads to death sentencing is “taking another’s life’ as stated in section 319 of criminal law (2004).
I understand this judgment was made in line with Lagos law, it’ll therefore be appealed and the highest they can get is life in prisonment, but the expected year for them to serve is not less than 14years.

Me dn tire embarassed embarassed

No matter what these armed robbers have stolen and the damage they have caused, it is not even worth up to 1 percent of what that accountant general of federation stole from this country, but he is now a free man. A country that sentenced pety robbers to death but pampers political thieves. Except those armed robbers committed murder in their robbery, this sentence is not justifiable in any way you look at it.

You and all the people who liked your post are exactly what you called those robbers: Criminals.
Because if you are not a criminal, you will not suggest forcefully harvesting another person's organs, without their consent. Condemned to death or nit, each human being has a right to his or her organ and can only give it out on his or her volition

If death were to be the punishment for a pen thief who stole billions that could have bettered the Life of the small thief, would he have stolen in the first place

Well, it's the law. It says "armed robbery" so they must have been armed, which qualifies them for the death sentence. Everywhere, white collar crime is treated differently from violent crime.

The amount stolen is not the factor but the fact that the other is two crimes in one with the more serious one of them which is possession of arms. Official fraud has its own penality.
