Don't be narrow minded.
How many session of "tailoring practice" do they have in a week? And who told you they don't teach them other things?

At their age, they need to expose them to various crafts including all that you mentioned. That's how special talents can be discovered in various fields and adequately harnessed.

In China, they don't teach kids ONLY programming and web/app creation. They teach them virtually everything that makes up life.

When they grow up, they can then streamline their craft/practice.

How many children you don teach graphics ... the whole tech hype thing is just hmm... i mean there are a thousand and one things to be, allow kids to enjoy their learning

Reminds me of when I made dresses for my doll with pieces of cloth gotten from a tailor shop close by, a razor, thread and a needle.
Putting the thread in the needle eye was never easy.
You'd have to lick the thread to straighten about a million times.

First of all, how many gadgets did you buy for the teacher to use and teach primary school pupils software developing?
Secondly, why is learning how to sew and mend clothes a bad thing? In developed countries that you're shouting up and down, where amending clothes is so expensive, don't you know they also teach their wards how to also be good at sewing?

I hate it when people like you use every energy to undermine every little effort people make.
For your information, hand craft works are integral part of a progressive learning process; and it goes on every part of the world; Copying and re-creation are one of the best methods of imparting reasonable knowledge. It is part of first principle of every endeavor.
