fombi:The problem of power in Nigeria is actually as a result of corruption,, and not that the resources to use in generating the power is lacking. So, if corruption is cured, the power will be constant. |

SlavaUkraini:Are you aware that the problem of Power in Nigeria is Not “that the resources to use in generating the power is lacking”,, but is actually as a result of corruption by those who left what they are supposed to do and be doing another thing.?? So, if corruption is cured, the power will be constant. Corruption in Nigeria is killing a lot of things. |

BluntCrazeMan:There is corruption in Ghana and America but there is constant Power supply in those countries. Corruption is not an excuse. Corruption is sin and man would forever be sinful. In the midst of corruption, Nations are enjoying constant power supply. I understand that the devolution of power bill would soon be signed into law. That would be a game changer. Each State should Generate and Distribute their own Electricity. Then the citizens of each State would kick out any Politician that cannot generate the needed electricity where the funds are readily available. The reliance on Abuja to provide electricity for the 36 states have been a colossal mistake. It did not work for Obasanjo, Jonathan, Buhari. So a new approach is needed to solve this issue. Power must be given to states to generate and distribute their own Electricity. Texas does not wait for the White House to generate electricity for her citizens. Volta region does not wait for Jubilee House in Accra to generate electricity for her citizens. Lagos, Sokoto , Enugu and Delta State should not wait for Aso Rock to provide electricity for them. That is a failed concept. |

Cognitivereason:...it's better to build refinery so that nigeria can produce and refine the fuel, disel, kersosene locally here in nigeria.... what is causing the high costs of fuel, disel ,kerosene is importing the fuel, disel ,kerosene..with dollars... dollars is used to buy those items..which is 600 naira per dollar to import those items.. which makes the fuel disel kerosene to be very expensive...but if it's produced and refined here in nigeria...there is no need of importing the product again and the high landing costs of importing the fuel and those items.. which will be cheap and affordable for Nigerians to afford to buy...is it not a shame that Nigeria world largest producer of crude oil is importing fuel..and we call Nigeria giant of Africa importing fuel.. nawaoooo |
| Re: Things That The Next President Of Nigeria Is Expected To Put Back In Order. by Cognitivereason: 1:55pm On Jul 05, 2022 |
ufotunang:read what you quoted again and understand.. except you want to subsidize the refineries. it wont go down in price significantly maybe N50 difference saved as we wont be paying shipping cost..in summary that is really it..the price must tally with the the crude oil price as well as the exchange rate. at this point we do not need another refinery. dangote has 650,000bpd which is enough for the country for now. what we need is to rehabilitate the government owned refinery which has a combined capacity of 445,000bpd.. this combined with dangote will ensure we do not import another drop of fuel for another 30 years |

| Re: Things That The Next President Of Nigeria Is Expected To Put Back In Order. by ufotunang: 5:32pm On Jul 05, 2022 |
Cognitivereason:... even the government owned refinery the federal government is not serious in rehabilitating , repairing and upgrading the refineries... and dangote refinery is taking years for it to start operation ...he said he is looking for 300 billion naira to complete the construction of the refinery inoder for the refinery to start to work |
| Re: Things That The Next President Of Nigeria Is Expected To Put Back In Order. by Cognitivereason: 6:27pm On Jul 05, 2022*. Modified: 8:18pm On Jul 05, 2022 |
ufotunang:there are 3 government refineries in ph, warri and kaduna ph being the biggest of them all with a capacity of 210,000bpd is under full rehabilitation as we speak at a cost of 1.5bn USD.. goggle is ur friend.the original builders of the refinery are the ones handling the project. u cannot accuse dangote ..he started that project in 2016 and I trust that he had full budget and enough financial backing to have completed it before 2021..he probably didnt foresee covid 19, russia and ukriane palava plus the exponential devaluation of naira....if e easy go do am at least he has completed the fertilizer plant..and there was never a day they stopped building the refinery..slow and steady he will complete it with or without any one's help.. The 300 billion is probably to quicken the construction to finish next year |

Cognitivereason:...I pray the pH refinery can be completed in time because when it comes to federal government on projects ..I do not trust them due to misapropation of funds, diversion of the funds project to private accounts and for dangote refinery is the devaluation of naira to the dollars..620 naira to a dollar |
