Russia have said their main goal is to liberate the Donbas region which they have almost achieved.

It's now left for Ukraine to counterattack or not.

There are already discussions on how to rebuild Ukraine and how much it will cost. Zelenskyy has said it should begin immediately.

I think so too, their role is now reduced to support on air..

Not entirely. About 70% of Russian troops have returned home. So like 30% still remain in Ukraine. The heavy weapon (artillery, rocket launchers, defense systems, drones e.t.c) are being operated by the Russians. Likewise air and naval support. Some Russian troops and FSB agents are in the newly occupied territories (Melitopol, Kherson and Mariupol).

At the bolded, thanks to God that you even have the decency and honestly to admit for once that Russia have almost achieved their goal of liberating the East of Ukraine.

A Ukrainian counterattack would be a tremendous surprise if it happens really because the current Ukraine that we know now don't even have much fight left in its ranks let alone such a huge counter offensive to claim back those lost territories.

Ukraine pleads for weapons at G20 meeting


Ukraine has urged its allies to send more weapons as its forces dig in, saying that a turning point has been reached in the war.

Mykhailo Podolyak, the Ukrainian chief negotiator in stalled talks with Moscow, said Russia’s military had been forced to take an operational pause due to losses and to resupply.

“It is clear that they have to redeploy things, bring forward new troops and weaponry, and this is very good. A certain turning point is beginning to take shape because we are proving we are going to attack storage facilities and command centres,” Podolyak told Ukraine’s 24 Channel television.
