There is something called Media Ethics. Learn it. What you did is wrong and has no justification. The caption of a media content is more consequential than the body of the content. I already gave you an example.

Can use point out any grammatical rule to show how putting a word in a quote changes the meaning and grammatical consequence of the word? If yes, do it let me see. If no, you are just sacrificing important correction for your ego. Putting a word or sentence in a quote basically show two things. One is if the writer or speaker is borrowing the word or sentence from another speaker or writer. The second reason is when the writer or speaker wants to draw attention the word or sentence. The quote does not change the meaning of the word or sentence.
