1. Who says I am not? undecided

2. The reason for all this suffering is man's decision to go it alone, without God. lipsrsealed
So if you care about people like you claim then why are you against men that can make change

2. If the reason for all the suffering is man's decision to go it alone, then how come. Europe and America have less economic hardship that 9ja? Do they trust God more?
How come a leader wiped poverty almost completely out of Singapore and reduced the suffering of his people. Is it that the people of Singapore trusted God more?

You are doing your best not to answer the question, smart guy grin
But I did answer your question. undecided

You believe that the way to resolve the problems you listed are to vote better folks into power but God says that a better way is to instead submit to and obey Jesus Christ's teachings and commandments.. undecided

If you refuse to answer simple questions, I no reason in go on.
It's not about what I said. We have all witnessed good leaders solve the problems I listed so why pretend as we have never witness good governance do these things.

Have we not witnessed less wars in our time than ever before in the world?
Have we not witnessed hunger reduce than ever in recorded history? So why pretend?

Yes, God's way is better but till God comes to save his people from suffering men would reduce the suffering.
It's true that there is suffering everywhere but we would be dishonest to claim we have not seen people's suffering reduces because good leaders were elected.
Or would you also claim that people's suffering doesn't get reduced?

Jesus Christ instead said that His followers are not to set themselves in seats of authority like the Gentiles do - Matthew 20 vs 24 - 28. Anyone who desires to rule should instead be a slave to others. undecided

What I have instead witnessed is humans change one thing only to open doors to more evils by their attempts at good. As I said, I am not against the world doing what it wants to do. What I am against is pretending it all has something to do with God and that which He commands of us. undecided

No Jesus never supported slavry. You don't understand the scriptures. He taught his followers that if they were to become leaders, they should learn to serve first.
He didn't discourage them from leadership, he only wanted them to learn service even as leaders.

You only see evil in the world, I see a better world. The world has gotten progressively better because of good men.
And you refused to answer my question so we know who is pretending.

Fewer wars? But with a much higher number of casualties combined, right? undecided

Hunger reduced? Do you mean ratio-wise or what? With 8 billion mouths to feed and poverty still rampant in some countries, how do you conclude that hunger is necessarily reduced? undecided

I make this post so that all Christians would realize that it was we Christians that made the world a better place.
I use to tell people that if Jesus Christ came today and not 2000 years ago, he wouldn't have been crucified.
Thanks to Christianity we now have freedom of speech and civil rights.
This was fought for by Christians in Europe and America.
Slavery was stopped by Christians. Before then, every religion believed it was right to enslave other human beings.
Christians have made the world better and safer than it had ever been.
So please don't forget your Christian values as you vote and choose candidates to support.
We are the religion that made the difference.
We are the light of the world.
Without us, the world would still be in slavery. There would be no human rights and man would be of little worth.
Thanks to Christian nations the entire world is a better place.
Never forget who we are and what we have given to the world.
The blood of many good men have been shed to bring light to the world.
Involve yourselves with the politics of the time and always stand for what is best.
We do not live in a perfect world but we do make it better.
I wouldn't exactly agree that Christians were the ones who made the world a better place.

Humans made the world a better place.

While a lot of the good stuff you mentioned was done by societies who were Christian, a lot of bad stuffs were also done by societies who were Christian.

The inquisitions were done by Christians
The holy wars in medieval europe were fought by Christians
The societies who also suppoerted slavery were Christian

In essence, people used, and continue to use religion to justify their personal interests. People would do just about anything if they believe a god told them to.

While I don't discredit the good things that Christianity has done, I'm also not going to deny the bad things.

Because at the end of the day, it was humans that did all those. We just used religion as a front to justify what we did

Your stats are wrong. More people died from wars in the 60s than from 2000 till date.
More hungry bellies in the 90s than today. Please just do your research.

All lot of bad stuff were done in all societies by Christian nations changed the world.
Example, slavery was going on in every nation of the world. It was first stopped in Christian nations. Same thing for democracy, human rights and many of the things we take for granted today

1. Who said anything about Jesus Christ being in support of slavery? Are you certain I am the one here who doesn't understand scripture here since? undecided
2. This from the same Jesus Christ that told them they are all equals - Matthew 23 vs 8 -9 - and He alone is Master over them all - Matthew 6 vs 24 ? Are you certain you are not instead trying here to make Jesus Christ say what He never said? undecided
