Please anyone here can help to get my vps functional? So far, i have installed cyberpanel (an alternative to cpanel) My problem now is how to configure it to host my website. Normally shared hosting just provide nameservers but I don't have anything like that in vps. Please if you can help i wiil really appreciate it |

Premiumwriter:If you already installed Cyberpanel correctly on your VPS, then you need to point your domain name correctly to the server. You can do this in two ways: 1. "A Record" - assuming your VPS's IP address is this fictitious 120.7.32.1, you can create an A record at your domain registrar and point the domain to that IP. 2. Nameservers - you can create custom nameservers with your domain registrar using the VPS's IP address(s). You may consult your domain registrar in either case for further assistance. You would need to create a hosting account for your domain on the VPS. |

Go to your Domain Registrar and add dns record with your vps ip address. That’s all |

Anyone using VPS hosting should be familiar with some advance level stuff that are too many for me to mention. Basically you need to understand a bit of advanced system administration. My advice for you is to not try anything you have not learned well or experimented with in production without prior experience. If you cant do it then you cant do it. BTW if you need help setting up a linux server with or without the need for any type of control panel send me a DM. |
