Computer science is a brainchild of mathematics. If you cant get admitted into computer science the next obvious choice should be mathematics.

Except for courses that ultimately need their practitioners to be well qualified because of how delicate the field is, there is no need to waste money on any other courses. The establishment and proliferation of universities and departments/courses is a government scam. The scam is not to impart knowledge but to make a profit while dishing their students information with no tangible real-life application.

The awarded degree is to finally take your mind off this scam and make you feel more important than others who don't have it. And also make those who don't have to feel less and get motivated to go get one degree or more. It is a vicious cycle. Also take note that for them to employ you you need this certificate/degree and to climb higher, you need more degrees. It is an (unintended) control mechanism. You can't even use the knowledge they have impacted you to develop the state of affairs because you've been dwarfed by them, if you try to go against the norm they punish you and withdraw the degree.
Meanwhile, those that call the shot in every nation and economy rarely have any degree attached to their names.

The important courses include those relating to the medical field e .g medicine and surgery, pharmacy, nursing, dentistry, neuroscience, etc., and physical sciences - computer science, mathematics, and physics. Engineering is good. (To include Economics is a dire issue, but I will grudgingly do so).

For other courses, just enroll in a library, or buy books that cover whichever course of study you intend.

You may ask, are these books in the library not written by those who studied the related courses? Yes. It is true. But do you know the way they arrive at their results? Observation, field, and sample testing. That's why these fields require a lot of constant research as their results sometimes don't correlate. Every other jargon they used in trying to qualify their theory is a scam to distract and deceive you. They are not truly important.

After reading in the library, try and understand human behaviors (Evolutionarily courses are then important to study). Learn sales. Use the internet to your advantage. After all the goal is to make money, make it in a reasonable and non-time-consuming way.

If you can easily practice any course of study without formally studying it in school and with little to no impediment in real-life application, please, don't waste your money on that course. E.g. Agricultural science, marketing, political science, guidance and counseling, Literature, English, Mass communication, etc.

Many courses are useless wasting time studying them in the university. Save your time, health, money, and energy.

Thanks.

Medical and computer related courses. This two would remain high in demand in Nigeria regardless of the increasing unemployment statistics in the country.
