I suspect you're mistaken on the Ratel variant.
As far as I know, the ZT3 Ratels took out some tanks with nary a scratch to the troop.

I can't recall the minutiae of the details but it was on a successful op in Angola. I specifically rmbr it was a ZT3. An ex troopie's memoirs on the 'net I read over decade ago.

Ex-Paramount but I'm sure he's laid roots by now! grin grin grin

It was an interesting time to be in Angola, with the death of dos Santos and all. I've always loved Luanda, which, like Mindelo in Caboverde, Lagos, Accra, Havana, Salvador do Bahia, New Orleans, Dakar and my own beloved Cape Town, constitute the great cities of the Black Atlantic.
Gabon was my first time and felt weird. I have a week there in August and that might allow me to start forming an opinion.

Team 18 a surrogate force of Kenyan commandos over which the US SOF are meant to exercise a certain level of operational control (with Kenyas consent) both in Somalia and Kenya .it was set up, trained, equipped and is guided on tactical counter-terror operations by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA)
(Pic during one of their training missions in the US.)

the US SOF are meant to exercise a certain level of operational control. This is a very stupid move by Kenya, giving the us any kind of control of any part of your security will only end up with negative blowback eventually.

This is a country which sponsors regime change all over the world through https://www.ned.org/ (cia). They even turn on their own allies like Thailand using "color revolutions."

This is how France maintains control over some WAfrican countries, they can enact a military coup at will

Americans are involved in one way or another in all conflicts in Africa from the west to East, the only difference is some of their operations have been declassified while others are still classified.
Even the weapons and hardware purchased from them come with a certain level of "operational control " .
Same to their training programmes.

Wow, 14 peacekeeping missions. Imagine the kind of experience he has. Too bad he's on permanent deployment out of life, RIP to the Staff Sergeant, my condolences to the family and the SANDF for the huge loss.

Yea, it's longer. The concept and sitting arrangements are similar though.

Again with vehicles that Proforce produces, we will see upgrades and updated models soon.

The PF Viper which is a brand new vehicle has already had updated versions.

Seriously! The entire post is a perfect example! You go on and on and on repeating the most childlike assertions with complete confidence but say NOTHING of substance. Come with facts and figures we can discuss as adults! Smth like this earlier post I had on random per capita defense expenditure:

Those comparisons are from OSI,ie ,the 'net. We and Saffas outspend you nearly 4x as does PNG. Fyi,one of the first things young niggas learn is don't ishyt talk people, especially those you don't know . The way you show constant contempt for those who don't slavishly agree with your POV reveals that you overestimate yourself, a recipe for endless drama and complications in life.

Back to the facts. While I've seen pix of new barracks housing it seems many if not most bases have a srs housing issue.

https://thenationonlineng.net/state-of-military-barracks/

https://africacenter.org/publication/obstacles-military-professionalism/

This situation indicates a very very real budgetary shortfall.

I wasn't far from Pakistan defence expenditure per capita estimate!

This is their own figure:

[
b]On average, Pakistan spends $13,400 per soldier, India $42,000, Saudi Arabia $371,000, Iran $23,000 while the United States allocates $392,000 per soldier annually. The difference, however, between Pakistan and other countries is that the size of their economies is far bigger than Pakistan.

That, people is why they'll NEVER defeat India! It also shows how defence spend per soldier/sailor/airman is more accurate than the unadjusted gross total in comparing forces.

They are Nigeria security and civil defence corps a paramilitary organisation basically to do same work as the police
The protect civil populace against attack and also infrastructural facilities like banks, oil facilities e.t.c
They've actually been active against Oil thieves and vandals but alot still needs to be done we have issues of banditry with the right amount of training coupled with their man power it should reduce the work load off the military
