This question was informed by several claims of some nefarious elements that the campaign against Tinubu candidacy is because he’s Yoruba while the support for Peter Obi by most people from Eastern Nigeria is because he’s Igbo.

But is this true?

Reno Omokri and most others had to call us out for rejoicing when Ekweremadu was arrested in the UK. But if you wanna argue that we rejoiced over his arrest because he criticized Peter Obi, remember he was earlier beaten in Germany and the Igbos supported the beating.

Again in all of Okorocha’s travails, we have been his greatest mockers. Reason we didn’t blink an eye when EFCC broke into his home to arrest and he was trying to whip up sentiments by being dramatic online.

Similarly, when OUK declared for presidency, the Igbos didn’t blink an eye nor raise a strand of their hair.

Now, imagine either Okorocha or OUK emerged as APC and Osinbajo resigned from APC to contest in Labour Party like Obi is doing, who do you think most of Igbo people especially the youth will support?

And even when the tides shifted against Jonathan in 2015 igbos stuck their necks for him (not in great numbers like 2011 but he still won handily in the east). Igbos subsequently bore the brunt for their decision for supporting Jonathan an IJAW man! In 2019 again igbos voted for atiku. No bagga can accuse Igbos of voting along tribal lines in national elections.

Igbos supported their brother Obasanjo but because it was a support from ndi Igbo they termed Obasanjo an outcast lol. Igbos also supported osibanjo but because they perceived osibanjo will not play the Yoruba-centric tune like tinubu they left their brother who was by far a better representative of their region and Nigeria in general. Igbos that condemned Osinbajo did that when Osinbajo was strongly defending Buhari's incompetence by attacking Goodluck and going about for condolence visits after Fulani herdsmen murders Nigerians to also defend Buhari.

Well okorocha was voted because btw him and the PDP candidate, ohakim he was a bit better, it was a case of PDP presenting ikiri(bat) and apga presenting a jester, the decided to go for the jester, as for senate, he hijacked it the way buhari and orji uzo kalu highjacked 2019. Where Igboes were allowed to vote in IMO in 2019, ihedioha of PDP won against uche nwosu of APC, ie okorocha's son in-law, but a person in the name of ozodimma came out claiming to represent APC, they went to court and uche nwosu defeated ozodimma in supreme court in Nov 2019, but was disqualified for representing two parties, then an abracadabra happened from Apc and ozodimma became governor by early 2020, tell me which competent candidate APC have ever presented for the post of president, since they came out, you can't display useless wares in the market and expect Igbo people who are mostly business people to buy them.

So how do you turn around to say they are in labor now because they lost out in PDP? If they always vote PDP irrespective of who they field, that means they would always be in PDP regardless.

We have always voted PDP because we have been okay with the candidates they brought forward. There was never a better candidate.
