But what exactly is it with APC in the southwest always labelling people who do not bend to their whims and caprices as betrayers? I've been seeing APC supporters on social media calling Aregbe a betrayer just like they did Osinbajo prior to the presidential primaries.

I mean I don't get! These same people acknowledged the fact that Oyetola was never Aregbe's choice in 2018. This guy wanted to have a say in choosing his successor but had no choice but to let the party leader's cousin get the ticket in a controversial manner. It was obvious Oyetola was never going to rate Aregbe since he wasnt cool with his emergence as the governor.

So fast forward to 2022, Aregbe was not having it and supported someone else who eventually lost the primary to Oyetola. Now he chose to work against Oyetola knowing his 2nd term was not going to benefit him in any way just like the the first term..... And then he's being labeled betrayer.

I mean Tinubu practically selects who becomes governor in Lagos ever since he left, but he would not allow any other person weild such power for reasons best known to him; not even Aregbe his age long ally.

Does it mean anybody that dares to dream to be a powerful person like Tinubu automatically becomes a betrayer? Shey na cult?

Can we now finally agree that pre-election debates are uber-useless and nobody should be disturbing anybody with it?

Vindictiveness. If I can't get it, then let's scatter it.

Aregbe is never a Betrayal. He's a real man that knows his right from left.

APC won his Unit and LG by the way.

Look at how these Hausa boys are making fun of Tinubu, and APC analysts are expecting huge votes from there when they have a healthy Northern candidategrin

The thing just dey surprise me as I dey see people write stuff like "Odale balẹ kú" and all......Nigga wants to own a bakery too, he doesn't want to own a depot supplying bread to retailers.
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Oasis007(m): 6:59pm On Jul 17, 2022
Osun state has one of the highest debt to revenue ratios in Nigeria. For a state with so much mineral potentials, especially Gold. The Nigerian constitution keeps the people poor by denying the people the right to their resources.

The next governor will also dance around the revenue issue until the issue of true federalism is addressed. If he attempts any more loans, Osun will become totally bankrupt. If oil prices drop and FAAC drops, he will cry hot tears. He cannot afford to balloon the workforce.

His pension liability to GDP ratio is also high, so the state must cough out pensions in addition to its huge wages. It's a fiscal conundrum...

APC must have learned their lesson. Reconciliation gonna be taken seriously now. Tinubu, perhaps, assumes SW Votes already in the Bag, definitely Osun Results gonna make him sit up and do the needful.

By the way, LP are lowkey PDP Members. They're simply disguising and most of them gonna vote Atiku.

If you ask if it's a cult then it is the closest thing to a cult. It's where you drop your personal feelings and support the party.

There have been many who sacrificed for you to get where you are and you are expected to pay it forward. For Aregbesola to become governors Tinubu begged others to step down for him. Aregbe na Lagos person. His intonation is a typical Lagos Yoruba intonation which shows he didn't spend too much time in Osun growing up just like Tinubu yet on ground people in Osun stepped down and supported him. It was his time to forget his feelings and support the party.

You can't be playing neutral when it comes to Party politics when you are a member.

In the US most contestants after losing the ticket rally around their party nominee. We saw how Bernie Sanders rallied around the Democratic party even after it looked like he was schemed out , We saw how most Republicans rallied around their party after they won nomination

It's not about Tinubu, it's about the party. The man who won Ekiti APC ticket was not Tinubus choice but Tinubu went there to campaign for him.
Akeredolu was not Tinubus choice, It was Segun Abraham yet Tinubu went with the Party's choice and campaigned for him. There are many instances of that

You cannot be a part of the part and deviate from the wish of the party. That is tagged antiparty activities

Even in PDP, Wike Fayose Makinde even if they didn't like the choice of Atiku they have to bow to the party's wishes or get out of the party and try elsewhere.
Adeleke when he couldn't get his wish in APC he went to PDP to prove himself

Party politics is partisan. It's not for fairness. You stand by your people at all times

INEC is getting it right under his Administration. Kudos to him.

If anyone should be able to sacrifice anything, it should be Aregbe. He was given control of AC base in Alimosho, took him to Osun and talk with Baba Bisi Akande to hand over his structure to him in 2007 to become Gov. Even those that had reservation about his candidacy still went ahead to support him and ensured he became Gov. Immediately after his tenure, he was made a minister of the nation. Please how has the party not been fair to him?

He says he doesn't want Oyetola and that he was imposed on him, did everyone want him when Tinubu made sure everyone step down for him in 2007? Oyetola has even done 4yrs, what's hard in negotiating a deal that ensures the next candidate of the party comes from his camp?

He betrayed the party that has given him everything he has anount to politically and I hope he get whatever comes to him.

One day we will discuss exactly what those so called infrastructures Aregbe spent money on has generated for the state. I mean Aregbe was all over the place borrowing money all in the name infrastrucre development.

It's been over 4 years Aregbe left now, I know infrastructures are supposed to generate income or better the lives of the people in the long run, but we need to ask questions. Has anything of such happened, is it likely to happen?

I wish we have like a structured process that is responsible for auditing some of these government spendings by checking how these spendings are achieving the desired goals.

Let Oyetola leave office first and Adeleke form his cabinet, then they will know the meaning of being in opposition.

His foot soldiers will also hear it when Buhari tenure ends next year and he's no longer a minister.

In every party. There are some that holds power over others. There's a reason they are referred to as leaders.

Tinubu himself do not always get his way, did he use his own hands to scatter the party he helped formed because he didn't get his wish?
