Yesterday, investigative journalist David Hundeyin directed Nigerians to the full and unredacted case files of APC presidential aspirant Bola Tinubu's drug money seizure.

For many years there have been arguments and all round denials from Tinubu's camp about the truth or lack about this particular case, but these files have put paid to all doubts that Tinubu was once found guilty of hard drug trafficking and money laundering.

With this concrete evidence, no one should doubt again if Tinubu was once a drug lord. Tinubu is more dangerous than I thought and he is unfit to hold the office of the president.

The more important question is why did BAT not fight the seizure of his assets?
Almost half a million dollars at that time is no moimoi, It is not even moimoi in this day .
So, why didn’t he fight the forfeiture or fight to clear his name ?

There is no escaping the fact that BAT had connections with the drug business at the time.

What I think is in dispute is the nature & level of his involvement. He seemed to be more involved in the money laundering side of things than actual sale & distribution. This is probably why he was able to get off with forfeiture of funds instead of jail time.
