I don't think that will be possible..Since your passport wasn't submitted you just have to wait till the application is concluded.

They're opening up more visa centers, the thosands of pending applications are still there o. I hope this development means those of us that applied since early April and even before can finally get our visas.

Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by laeffizy(f): 7:43pm On Jul 13, 2022
The visa delays are nerve wracking and depressing I must confess. I got my visa 2 weeks shy of losing my scholarship, and 4months post application.(happened last year).
I've come to see it is a general problem. Asides them tightening immigration laws, they are overwhelmed or rather inadequately prepared for the tons of applications. Maybe it is deliberate, I do not know. But it is not just targeted at Nigerians. My German colleague got a post doc renewal for one year. She submitted her application since January and hasn't heard from there. She is stuck, as she can't leave the country untill a renewal, so she hasn't seen her loved ones as she would have wanted, two years running . My Malagasy colleague on the other hand got his in 3 months (they both applied from South Africa as they had already landed the previous year and got contract extensions)

I advise anyone who wants to apply for a study visa in particular to do so at least 6months ahead. Even that isn't a guarantee.
Even if you go to the embassy (like I did in frustration), you may not gain access, and you will return home angry.
You may gain access and they'll still ask you to go and wait like I was told.

All the best guys

Hi everyone,
Quick question to those who have gotten SA tourist visa (especially the e-visa)...does it allow for multiple entries?
I would like to visit SA, and while at it make a short visit to the neighboring country Mozambique, then come back to SA before returning to Nigeria. Is that possible?
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Blurpy: 6:45pm On Jul 14, 2022
It’s possible
The visa is multiple entry

That's if it's stated on your visa, for most first-timers, it's a single entry visa. Second timers might/get multiple entries

Regards,

Better you do it and other medical tests in a government hospital. It’s not expensive.

Tourist visa. It's been almost 4 months since we applied at VFS Abuja, no response from them till now. No one can accurately predict a timeline for visa approval. Only God knows what's going on over there.
