I think at this point in time it has become inevitable. Government should massively invest in our local automobile companies using a mashal style plan to churn out vehicles of all types at reasonable costs and in massive quantities to replace motorbikes nationwide. |

Healthrelatedjo:You know northern government don't think. They don't have any alternative yet they want to quench what is already solving a problem. OK open border, crash the price of cars let everyone get a car... No. Anything to punish the masses is what they discuss. |

The truth be told, our politicians are in layman's terms extremely stupid. They're full of sh*t like this idea. How about they fixing public transportation such that this okada economy dies a natural death? Or when they ban the okada then what? |

Clueless federal government as usual. Before you place such ban, provide an alternative. The government wants to solve a problem by creating another problem. Do they even know the millions of people that will be out of jobs following a nationwide okada ban? |

Before you guys starts banning okada in the country, make sure you provide surplus job across the country to avoid another phase of criminality. |

While they are at it, they might as well ban commercial banks and other financial institutions. As they are the main abettors of these herdsmen/terrorists. Why? The ransom they collect is always in raw cash, and these men aren't lunging around Ghana must go bags about in the forests, as they deposit these funds in the Nigerian banking system. This is despite the required KYC for each account, and the mandatory NFIU AML report which is made for cash deposits of #5m and above. The government and private institutions are all in cahoots with these criminals, so let them keep beating around the bush without addressing the elephant in the room |

The Spur For Mass Transit Policy Thrust If this will spur the governments of the 3 tiers to adopt a policy thrust on mass transit across the country, then it's welcome. After all, Okada is not a standard and safe mode of transportation. I know many backward-thinking, pre-modern, set-in-their ways mortals will not support it. Of course, the government should think it through and provide mass transit in its stead. It's only babies in rashes-causing diapers that want change. It's never easy for people who are comfortable in their ways to adjust to change suddenly. |

As long as France benefits as hugely as it does from her West Africa colonies, Nigeria will not be allowed to succeed. A successful Nigeria is a bad example in the perspective of France. Nevertheless we need to continue to do all we can to frustrate the bad actors in our states. |

No, it's too late already. How will bubu's foot soldiers survive? I learned there's been 15 jail breaks from 2020 till now, it's the highest any country could have. This didn't even happen in Somalia!! |

Lagschools:Other areas are affected by armed robbery and kidnappings. These elements majorly used motorcycles as a good get away instrument. Very effective, can pass through almost any terrain. Can be carried over an obstacle by the rider, very fuel efficient as a full tank can ride for hours and very cheap to acquire compared to other means of transport. A 3 years ban can be adopted to test the first phase of the policy. |
