I didn’t even mean that lol, was just angry at the obvious lie this people are dishing to the public.
Economics is dynamic bro, GDP alone does not give a true picture of an economy any longer.

Moreover, Nigeria doesn't calculate GNI but GDI.

I didn't expect an educated or enlightened response to this thread. And I was not disappointed, most of the things in this post didn't make it to the curriculum of most of the commenters in primary or secondary school. And if it did they were t taught well neither did it stick. You can't blame them. I mean what concerns a below average Nigerian with statistics.

LoL Seychelles that has a population of 100k people is making the list. Mauritius with a population of 1 million should not even be compared to Nigeria in terms of well-being of the citizens let alone Seychelles. There is no comparison between the difficulty in governing 1 million people and the difficulty in governing 200 million people. It is a lot easier to manage and help 1 million people out of poverty than it is to help 100 million people out of poverty.
I don't know if you realize this but the list is not a competition and there is no prize awarded for being first.

All this defense is not necessary.

There can be challenges for small population countries too - especially if they do not have resources. Any country that has a good handle on corruption and has a working system in place, should be able to thrive.

In a country where 5% controls 95% of the resources, Income Per Capital, can't be said to be a good measure of well being.
That an average score of a class is 45% doesn't mean everyone passed. Infact, in can be proven that 90% of the class scored below 40.
So when they tell you the per capital is $5k+, have it in mind that majority of Nigerians do not earn up to 50% of that amount annually (I don't want to mention our annual minimum wage which is just a little above 10% of our income per capital).

Bro. There’s improvement. I’m a practical person look around you’ll see the money. Most of those indices aren’t factual but hypothetical.

Nigerians lie a lot and cry to the heavens that they’re dying. Check their lifestyles and you’ll be shocked. Go to villages too, they’re not doing badly

Don’t get me wrong, a lot of people still live in subsistence I totally agree but the income of the average Nigerian has increased

if Ur income increases by 7% but Ur expenses increases by 50%, tell me if u are richer in that way?? how is there improvement, maybe u expect people not to buy car or cloth at all ?

Also, most of that income is going to a minority of the population, which isn't good to generalized.

Per Capital Income is not a true test of economic welfare of average citizen. The statistic is heavily skewed towards the the rich.
Mostly in developing countries where there is HIGH INEQUALITY in distribution of wealth.

The aggregate figure is something, the individual experience is another. Building construction in Abuja is at an all time high, meanwhile people are buying one quarter of a gas cylinder because town red.
The statistics doesn't capture the dichotomy.
