I don't see how one can die from jumping into the Lagos lagoon from the third mainland bridge .

The bridge isn't that high above the water line so the impact on hitting the water (tho painful) may not be enough to kill someone.
Secondly, the water depths are extremely shallow not more than 2-3meters.

So how do people drown in such shallow waters when jumping from a height of no more than 40ft?

Time there was when it was unheard of that Nigerians will be committing suicide. We were called the happiest people on earth in spite of all the economic problems our country had. But it all started during Buharis regime and especially the youths started committing suicide. One by one it became the order of the day. The hopelessness, the fears, the lack of a hope for a better tomorrow. Youths started killing themselves, jumping into the Lagoon, drinking sniper etc. Buhari is the worst leader in the history of this country. His regime has been a journey through HELL. Now the person who foisted him on Nigeria is the one who now wants to rule? May God deliver Nigeria from those holding it hostage.

What I always tell people is to carry this awareness that you are here already to experience everything that comes with living,when it's bad gather yourself together and work hard to make it right. At times I wish I have the courage to go on with the suicidal thoughts, but at the end have come to appreciate life more.
Suicide is never an option.
