Even RDJ did a few cameos for other MCU films and never tried to gatekeep Iron Man.

How can one person keep the most iconic superhero hostage because he's looking to get more money and creative control.

Playing Superman is a dream come true.
Do you know how many actors would jump at the chance to play that character.

Tyler Hoechlin is proof that even a D- grade actor can embody everything that makes Superman special.

Henry Cavill should pack up his over inflated ego and leave.

If he's that big of an actor, why are other big Hollywood franchises and studios not fighting for his signature?

The Superman he was portraying was that of the Reeves version. Everything was about it being a sequel to it. It's public knowledge lol.

Very true. And that's what is the most annoying. Ben who's a better and bigger actor with more pedigree, despite all the shït WB did to him got back after seeing the new team. His movie was repurposed and given to another director (Matt Reeves), an old actor set to replace him and a younger actor just debuting yet he's back.

For over 3 years Henry still dey drag money. It's bad from him especially from a character and studio that made him a familiar face in general audience.
It just shows he never really loved the character to begin with. More like a fat paycheck.

But seriously, it's not the guy holding the movie but WB, if they really wanted it, they will have it out already. No need to bash the guy sha.
With the way WB managed the DCEU the guy wants to cash in big time knowing there's a tendency for the film to tank big time and affect him.

Henry Cavill is busy filming The Witcher 3 right now, so he's busy.
He's not like he can do two things or be at two places simultaneously.
And besides, he'd be a fool to sideline The Witcher project where he's getting paid a shit ton of money (as well as have special privilege to influence the script), for a project where he won't influence the script or be the highest paid star onscreen.
Henry Cavill is a nerd with a pretty face who has read all the comics, played all the video games and know superman inside out, but to think he's in out of the goodness of his heart is incredibly naive.
He's an entertainer and he entertains for a living, and like any half decent career, he does it for money. Acting isn't charity.
The fans want him, so it's in WB best interest to do whatever it takes to acquire his services.
WB need him more than he needs them, and as long as it stays that way, Cavill will continue to play hardball.
It's what every good actor who knows their worth do to earn more money.
He's just a good businessman.

Cap! Dude doesn't have the kind of hold on the character that you're trying to portray. If he continues being unreasonable, his role can be easily recast. If the DCEU was well underway, he might have had a stronger hold but with the new direction DC and WB have been veering in, Cavill playing Supes isn't really all that important.

Why?
The fans are increasingly frustrated with WB due to the current sorry state of DCEU.
Fans want Cavill to be DCEU superman, stat.
Replacing him with another actor will be met with tremendous hostility the kind you've never seen before.
The best next thing WB can do at this point is to reboot DCEU and start everything from scratch.

Fans might be a fickle bunch but they've been pissed at WB for years and I doubt they'll stop now.
Replacing Cavill in the present DCEU is out of the question.
Fans feel particularly strong about it.
Personally, Superman is my favorite superhero, probably of all time.
The fact that he is not being included right now sucks.
I love Henry Cavill as Clark in MOS, he was perfect for the role, but if a complete reboot is what it will take to have superman content, I'm all for it.
Can't have DCEU without Superman, he's like the heart of the DC Universe.

To be honest I want them to cancel that flash film, remove Keaton from Batgirl, recast Superman, Batman, Flash and do it again but better.
The flash film will be a PR and marketing nightmare.

You love Cavill as Supes, that's great. Then pray he acts reasonably. If he keeps playing hard to get like an Abuja slay queen, he'll be left behind and the franchise won't even take as big a hit as you're predicting.

It would make more sense for WB to start listening to fans demands.
Fix DCEU and the ire will dissippate, and maybe WB will start making some roadin in regards to planning the DCEU.
I'm one of these fans so I'm speaking for a lot likeminded people.
Also, I find it strange that someone would take the side of corporation over fans especially in a matter in which fans are justifiably pissed.
