Is the subject matter rocket science? Nobody has gone on to make it big (as in big time) in the entertainment industry. Look at Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido and co. These are big time players in the entertainment industry. Known all over the world for their works. That’s what most housemates hope the platform will do for them. But no one has blown to that extent.

I don’t think anyone ever enters the house hoping to be a presenter of BBN at the age of 40…

well not all of them have the platform to make it big all over the world because big brother naija hasn't fully reached world audience, however i think some of the ex housemates are big in their own right even when it's not world wide.
For example Ebuka is a big time player in our entertainment industry, he doesn't need to be known in America, as long as Africa is concerned, Ebuka is a bit time player.
Erica, Tasha, mercy and Nengi are big in their own rights even if it's not world wide.
There are many famous celebrities in America and the UK too that ain't known world wide, they are just famous in their country, many of them that i can count which you can't use to compare people like Beyonce or Nicky Minaj.
So it isn't a Nigerian thing only but i think Pere ( the general) has what it takes to be known outside Africa because of the hard work he has been putting on lately, saw a clip and he is currently on a movie set in USA.
Note; not Nigeria movie, but America Hollywood movie, so if the movie becomes a hit then i think Pere might just go on to achieve world wide fame and other Hollywood roles will be coming his way.
So i will say, watch out for pere.

I'm just pitying the ones in the lower house(blue house, colour riot, trenches house). I feel they're at a disadvantage. As if big brother is doing them a favour by putting them on tv and it seems people are no longer interested in them.

The problem is the show is a platform to move higher unfortunately most of them fizzle out. Where is Efe, white money?

I pity the ladies most especially they remain single or worst case scenario they travel out and get married and live a quiet life.
