A captain and two soldiers attached to the 7 Guards Brigade of the Nigerian Army, were said to have been killed when bandits attacked the Presidential Guards yesterday.

One of the soldiers killed:

Lieutenant Ibrahim Jaro Suleiman Babanawa.

Babanawa is the son of Col. Suleiman Ahmadu Babanawa (rtd). He hailed from Okpo in Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State.

The Guards Brigade is in charge of the security of the President, his entire family, the Vice President, Very Important Personalities (VIP), the Federal Capital Territory and its surrounding states.

If you don't know what this means let me break down for you ..Brigade of guards is the last defense of NIGERIAN govt , once brigade of guards falls govt has completely collapsed and who ever sacks brigades of guard is the new govt of Nigeria
