The documentary is saddening cry Most of these crimes are underreported in Nigeria and It’s very disheartening that the government are not even taking any reasonable step to curb it, all they do is embezzle funds meant to tackle terrorism cry
How do you tackle this type of deep seated hatred both sides have

They are not even interested in peace again but in revenge

It all boils down to the negligence of the government and nothing more, and the insecurities in that part of the country is what makes the two sides consider themselves as enemies. They once lived peacefully together nah.
Did you see where one of the bandit said terrorism is now seen as business?

They lived together when there was enough resources to feed both sides herdsmen and farmers. Now it's no longer enough probably due to desertification or increased population and increase in demand

I don’t fully agree with you cause they’ve always been populated than the south and The state government told them to get guns to protect themselves knowing fully well that it’s the two side(Hausa and Fulani) that are at each other’s throat, You see why I said the government didn’t play their parts.

When I said there are many factors behind insecurity some will attempt to put it as North vs South or Christian vs Moslems. Look at the numbers killed in Zamfara alone. The 2 sides are Northerners, The 2 sides are mainly moslems.

At the root of this is fight over resources, Land, water and grazing routes. No side or say no one will be starving and die quietly. So clashes occur because the grazing land is drying up, they move to fertile land occupied by farmers,, cows eat crops, Round 1 fight start, casualty start then reprisal 1, then reprisal 2, Now we are at reprisal 100. Reprisals wont stop unless one side is totally wiped out. Ask Israel vs Palestine
Fulanis feel they are the victims, Hausas feel they are the victims. No one is interested in any peace talk again, All they want is vengeance. So the small farming and herding they used to do have stopped finally now its full scaled war.
the difference is that someone is arming the fulanis. who is it? where are they getting their weapons from? if the villagers also had arms the fulanis would think twice.

the story is that it is ghaddafis infinite armory they are getting their supply from.

one would expect our sleeping bubu to liase with libya, but here we are.
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 2:26pm On Jul 28, 2022
your average herdsman, i am sorry to say is literally a savage who has been left that way.

i schooled up north [boarding school] . one time our borehole stopped working for weeks. eventually they found that herdsmen had vandalized the borehole supply cable for copper for jewellery.

a complete disregard for property/ownership

there was a horror story i heard on smooth fm, where a herdsman raped a corper in a school up north. it was raining, they were both trapped in the class, ' he saw her beauty, was overcome' , removed his knife, and raped her in the classroom.

these are the people we are talking about.

In that video, They used to use dane guns but one of them said he travelled to Niger Republic to get his first automatic rifles years ago and that was the game changer. He taught all the young ones how to shoot automatic weapons. The Hausas admitted that the Fulanis had better weapons. The Fulanis have networks across the entire west Africa and given the nomadic nature, they cross borders like its not there bringing in the sophisticated weapons they got

Economic, security and environmental crisis. In that video, remember the guy who had given up arms to embrace peace, when his village got burnt, his store of food and house got burnt, he returned back into the game

If the govt is unable to protect you, the next best thing is to allow you arm yourself to protect yourself. People who know me know that I believe in the 2nd amendment and arming yourself. Even though I live in a supposed saner society than Zamfara.
Security cannot be in every village in Zamfara, So how do you get people to protect themselves?

Anyone telling you not to arm yourself when in a jungle just want criminals to use you for free practice

A fulani man is where human race was centuries ago because he did not get educated nor exposed to modern life and societies that others went through over the years, They still live in the forest like they used to do 400yrs ago. Centuries ago when the primitive man need something he just take it without decorum or regard for the owner food, resources even sex. Thats why when a kingdom has any need the next thing is to invade the next village and take whatever they want, food slaves women.

Without civilization most of humanity will be where Fulanis are today. Education and exposure is the only thing that makes the difference

I also believe in arming oneself but the issue is knowing that it’s between the Hausa and Fulani makes it complicated.

Nigeria is under policed. Increasing the numbers of our security forces is a good starting point
Increasing the numbers of our security personnel is a no-brainer, it's something that's said practically every year. While it's a given that we'd have to increase the number of these security personnel, what other strategies have to be put in place to ensure that these guys are not only defeated but peace returns to their society...that's the koko. From that video, I can almost say every family there has a friend or family member that's involved in banditary or some other form of terrorism. It's with this video that the whole civilians working with bandits begins to make sense.

For the governor of Zamfara to have given everybody permission to bear arms is a subtle admission that the state has failed and weapon supply into the state is unchecked and now normalized.

In my opinion its better to just arm yourself whether you are Hausa, Yoruba Ibo, Ijaw. If you are not sure of your environment.
How do you know the difference between a peaceful Fulani and one planning to attack your village? It will all happen within minutes. Before police get there, the damage would have been done.

Violence only respect equal violence. Violence look for easy targets. That was why they are targeting girls school

Exactly, this is why a holistic approach is what will work. That former bandit that was interviewed is a murderer walking free, where you wan begin prosecute Dem from? The documentary was eye-opening...some form of amnesty/rehabilitation program definitely must be brought on board.

You’re right, I just hope all these issue would be managed to the minimal by the coming government cause I’ve lost hope in this present government on the issue of National Security.

Increasing he number of security forces is one of the first step and arming them adequately, then you find other solutions,

Maybe create separate communities for them to reduce their interactions but since the Fulanis don't have land. You probably have to take from the native and assign some to the Fulani to stay. While maintaining high security in the border regions to ensure that either party do not cross and interact with each other. (This now brings another question of RUGA).

There is no way Fulanis and Hausas will mix freely and there wont be clashes

Simple. Arm yourself, get enough supply of fuel, some USD and Naira at home and an evacuation strategy on ground. Nigeria is at war.

Bros that area you have to forget about murderer or whatever. 70% of male above 15 alive today in that area are murderers already whether in attack or defence. Prosecuting is the least of your worries now.

RUGA cannot be a thing, it's an ancient farming practice. These guys need to start rearing their cattles in one place...Audu Ogbe during Buhari's first tenure was suggesting importing enhanced foraging species, we need rethink agriculture in Nigeria and fast otherwise these guys will continue moving up and down and the conflicts will continue.

What do you understand by RUGA?
This is what Ruga means according to wiki
create reserved communities where herders will live, grow and tend their cattle, produce milk and undertake other activities associated with the cattle business without having to move around in search of grazing land for their cows

Basically separating herders from natives so they stay apart as much as possible

The other option is to kill all Fulanis or tell them to stop cow business.

Well true sha, it's just down south we don't want that in our communities. Maybe they can start by implementing it up North and successfully, then they can bring it down south to welcoming communities.

One of the reasons you're having that income from crude oil in previous governments is that they were exporting more crude oil. Crude oil theft is at an all-time high in this government.

and that they experienced (at the time) all-time high prices, increased OPEC quota due to lagging contributors like Libya not meeting export demands following Gaddafi's death as well as no economically crippling global war conflict and food shortages?

i would accept that excuse for gej, a civilian out of his depth . for a so called military hero - this is absolutely not acceptable.

buhaari is a fk up, end of story.

you can see on fp, they have called the service chiefs for another round of photo op.

that is where it all ends.

they need to kidnap one of his daughters so he will sit up - but then again - they are fulani, so it wont happen,

actually crude oil thedft is a legacy from gej, especially sinnce the fker gave the retired militants the map pf nigerias entire pipe infrastructure

then add the navy, who like the military, are more interested in their own cut than in actually policing the waterways
