So what will one do when he has requests from those areas
RaptObserver:

Tor congratulations. Avoid under bridge pick up in Abuja na agbero traps be that. Don't go to Wuse market except u are entering inside. Avoid Berger round about, area one round about, area three junction, Apo bridge, Lugbe car wash, police signboard and don't pick along around Mabushi cos na agbero dey disguise

How can one join a group?
Viking07:
Better go join any Abuja bolt group before agbero carry your shine for jabi.

Ordinarily u won't have requests from those places because they re bus stops but if you do, either you reject or ask the person to move away. But dropping a rider there is the main problem not even requests

I have someone like you in my dm currently lamenting. Why you guys don’t make proper research before making decisions is what I don’t understand. You carry your hand go buy problem.
What do you mean by "You carry your hand go buy problem."?

You mean this Accord is not fit for the hustle? Is it about the fuel consumption or about the ruggedity? People use 08-11 Camry, so how is this Accord any different?

I just don't like the fact that, if it's not a Toyota (Corolla, mostly) then it's not a car.

Corolla has its own problem too, it's just that people don't talk about it or when they do, they see it as normal thing. Imagine saying he bought problem because of door and clock issues angry

.......Would you have said same if it was a Camry 08?

There's nothing luxurious about the Accord. And it will stand the stress of the hustle just fine.

It's left for him to maintain the car.

Accords in general are not good for this hustle. Not out for arguments, it’s just the truth, but we are all free to have our opinions. smiley

The truth is. Indriver is just a crazy app. People they pick nonesense for that app but if youu look into it then you will realize that is same thing bolt would offer at the end of the trip.

It is not the same thing. For instance I was at Lekki phase 2 yesterday, looking for destination trip to Yaba. I parked for long and no one came so I decided to try indriver. I saw one going to Adelabu Surulere....she quoted 2500 but then I saw 3000, 3400 and 3600 or so. I clicked the 3400. Now the traffic I encountered was massive.....very massive. I was running away from 3MB traffic so I took that apongbon via marina. The journey was more than 2 hours. Even without surge, Bolt will never give you that terrible amount. The only good thing about indriver is the commission they charge. Nothing more. No paid waiting. Riders would waste your time!

That you once had an unpleasant experience with the car is not enough yardstick to condemn the car in totality

This is it. Every car has its own issues. Follow manufacturer recommended guidelines and you will be fine.

You don't go to the Mainland from the Island through Apongbon Bridge bro.

Third mainland Bridge traffic is always moving and someone going to Surulere, you can always cut off from Carter Bridge and the only place you would encounter traffic again would be at Iddo road linking Eko Bridge which is always small and moving. Lagos Island traffic is always a dead one.

That's how I picked a rider's item yesterday from Iponri market to Lekki Phase 1 on 1.5x. Drove through Anthony to Third mainland Bridge to Ikoyi link Bridge and the trip ended 6800. They were protesting that it showed 3500 to 4000. I was just laughing.

I told them to write to Bolt if they feel they were overcharged but that should be after I've collected my money in full.

True boss
My car no dey give me any issues.
So far one can maintain the car it's ok.
My own be say if the sole reason of getting a car is is e-hailing in Lagos, why go ahead to buy expensive luxury cars, 03-05 is for Toyota and Honda, then any other make like my car and others 010 is ok.
Reason is cost of parts and maintenance, then ruggedity.
If I tell u how many times them don jam my bumper for back ehn, yet e never tear or press.

There are other good cars 4 e-hailing aside Toyota and Honda.

I dey always thank God 4 my car.

You can, actually. It's just the traffic and I was testing to see how the traffic would be compared to 3MB.
Moreover, the point is the amount at the end of the trip. Even if I had taken 3MB, Bolt will still not give 3400 from Lekki phase 2(kusenla) to adelabu

You're overestimating Bolt fares bro. I carried someone from Ajah inside to Surulere off Bode Thomas Street and the trip ended 4500.

Calculate the distance from Ajah underbridge to Kusenla and deduct 25% from 4500 compared to the percentage that Indriver charges and you will see that you are at the same rate.

Except there's surge on Bolt, the fares are the same. I turned on the Indriver yesterday to see how far with the orders and I saw a rider offering 4k from Lekki Phase 2 to Lagos state university teaching hospital which is a fair deal.

You won't understand how big Bolt commission is because they display the entire amount.

For every 700 naira trip you completed, you earned just 525 naira. Now, imagine if you were to see just 525 on your dashboard.

Sometimes, riders will be shocked in pity with the fares. I can most times predict Bolt fares even before ending the trip.

@Barbiturates

All trips on Indriver are not good, just a all trips are not bad. You need to learn how to reconcile your trips. On a day without surge Indriver will beat Bolt flat. Know when to move on Indriver or accept your fate when you hang. The moment you mention using Eko bridge to connect Surulere, I just shake my head. The day I try that thing was the last. Spent 3 hrs on a 2500 trip from Adeola Odeku, rider self felt it from me... from hissing to finally airing my mind. I guess that was the worst trip I've ever picked on Indriver.

I was in Barbiturate shoes last night, I only try to minimise the impact. Pick a trip to Ikoyi first, then yaba and hope for berger. That way I can do 8k to Berger instead of the 3800 riders will be using to tempt drivers. And as fate will have it the 2 riders pay 2700 each instead of the picked price, while the Ikoyi trip is not even up to 23mins.
