almarthins:He is spewing exactly that, rubbish! ![]() Jesus Christ never said anything about the sin of sexual lust depriving any of dreams, so such a statement has no bearing in Truth. Claims that yherer are spiritual transactions and all the lot are instead ideas born of pagan beliefs you cling to. ![]() As for your grace claim, that is also rubbish. Grace aka eternal life has absolutely nothing to do with this here conversation or sin this since it is eternal. |

BigDawsNet:Again, sex is not sin. What is instead sin is the sexual lust in your heart. It doesn't matter whether you remain a virgin or you keep your body for your spouse alone, the moment you sexually lust after another in your heart, you have sinned against God - Matthew 5 vs 27 -28. That is what Jesus Christ made clear over 2000 years ago. ![]() It is not sex or fornication or homosexuality or even beastiality etc., that is sin. Instead, what Jesus Christ said is a sin against God is sexual lust in your heart - Matthew 5 vs 27 -28. And do, there is no demonic dimension to any of what He said so anyone telling you there is simply spewing Pagan trash at you. ![]() |

Kobojunkie:Perhaps, you re too knowledgeable that you know all. How much time did jesus spend on earth for him to explain many things to men. Didn't jesus say that holy spirit will reveal and guide in all matters? So many still think there is no punishment for their sin after death. We re all going to heaven! The devil is really laughing out widely. Sexual sin doesn't just stop at tag of sin, it goes beyond it. It open doors for other issues. Go and sleep with a witch and expect no repercussions. When ever break the law of God, you bring urself closer to his judgement and condemnations. In fact the devil want you to sin so that you can make his work easy. |

almarthins:1. Focus! ![]() 2. LOL.... you folks and your silly doctrines and traditions. ![]() Jesus Christ explained to you that He is the Truth of God - John 14 vs 6. And in John 16 vs 4 -15, He explained that the Helper who He will be sending to you will be the Spirit of Truth who will never give to you that which is not of Him. Have you not figured out by now why it was that Jesus Christ first had to leave before the Spirit of Truth was to come back to be with His followers? ![]() The one you call the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, is in fact the Spirit of Jesus Christ Himself. He would never tell you any detail that conflicts with or contradicts any of the about 100 commandments, in addition to teachings, revealed by Jesus Christ to His followers while He was here on earth. So, whatever idea you cling to that violates God's New Covenant/agreement that Jesus Christ made and ratified on the cross by the shedding of his blood - Matthew 26 vs 28 -30 -, an agreement you signed your life over to the moment you became born-again, stands in judgement against you were God's Law, Jesus Christ, is concerned. ![]() 3. The devil doesn't need to laugh since the devil knows Jesus Christ and those who really belong to Him from those who are born-again but don't belong to Jesus Christ. ![]() As Jesus Christ explained over 2000 years ago, only those who are born-again can enter into the Kingdom of God - John 3 vs 5 - 8 - through either of two gates - the broad gate which leads to Hell or the narrow gate which leads to heaven - Matthew 7 vs 13 - 14. What this means is that those who will end up in Hell are also born-again aka believers in Jesus Christ. ![]() You see, Jesus Christ explained that He is King in the Kingdom of God - Matthew 25 vs 31- 46 -, a kingdom not of this world, meaning He is King over Heaven - Matthew 25 vs 34 - and King over Hell - Matthew 25 vs 41. Even Satan has no dominion in Hell where He is to be housed. ![]() 4. Stop concocting lies pretending you are made clever by them! Jesus Christ is the Law in the Kingdom of God and the Law never associated sexual lust - Matthew 5 vs 27 -28 - with witchcraft meaning those ideas are pagan and not of the Kingdom of God. ![]() 5. That isn't true either. God's Law is first of all All-or-nothing! Whether you break one law or you break all 100 laws, you condemn yourself for it. Judgement however will not take place until after Jesus Christ returns to judge everyone on the last day, as He made clear in Matthew 25 vs 31 - 46 - meaning there are no souls currently in Heaven or Hell as is since Jesus Christ has yet to return. Instead, all who have gone before are sleeping in their graves waiting for Jesus Christ to return and judge them all on the same day along with everyone else. ![]() |

Kobojunkie:You must have a problem with comprehension. Show me where I said I'm leaving social media because of the corruption in it. Btw, even if I leave, its not wrong. Because the bible tells me that whatsoever causes me to sin should be cut off. And just incase you didn't know, one way to keep yourself pure and sane is by staying off social media. I've done it before. I did it when I couldn't handle what the algorithm on the social media platforms I was on, fed me. I left social media and bros, I didn't die. For your information, I've come to understand that if I know that I can't manage social media, I'll let it go. If I know that when I come online, I'll see things that pollute me, I'd rather not come online. Yes, I know the truth. But I must guard my heart. I must guard my faith. And before you go around teaching heresies, you better realize that there's a battle for your mind. And you must do anything you can to fight that battle. If it means skipping comments when you come to nairaland, do it. If it means choosing to watch only Christian content on Facebook and TikTok and Instagram, or following onlh christian creators, do it. If it means leaving social media because you can't just control it, then do it. And for your last statement, I didn't leave social media because of sexual sins. I left because I had to guard my mind from the confusion of different doctrines. P.S: From your posts, you sound like a deceiver. You better submit yourself to Jesus and stop allowing the spirit of deception work through you because Jesus will judge you for derailing people from his gospel. |

forMom:1. The same Jesus Christ also told you it is not what you eat or ingest that causes you to sin, but instead the bad things, e.g. the lies you have stored up in your heart that instead cause you to sin - Matthew 15 vs 10 - 20 and Mark 7 vs 13 - 23 . ![]() 2. Social media isn't what causes you to sin. Instead, it is your lack of knowledge of the Truth of God that causes you to sin and this is according to Jesus Christ. So, whether you leave it or not, makes little to no difference where your sin life is concerned. You can choose to make yourself a hermit, but that will never make you pure in the sight of God since sin comes from what is stored up in your heart. And according to Jesus Christ, it is only by Knowing the Truth - living in continuous submission and obedience to the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ, the Truth of God - that you can be set free from slavery to sin by the Truth. We are talking here of choosing a life of self-discipline and living in total obedience to all about 100 commandments of the commandments of Jesus Christ as the only way to purity as far as God is concerned. ![]() 3. The only "battle of the mind" there is is the one that involves you submitting your will to doing as God has commanded of you from over 2000 years ago. That is the one and only important choice every believer is called to make, and the only one that matters. You claim you know the truth yet you keep forgetting that sin is simply disobedience/transgression of what is God's commandment to you. You know the Truth yet you keep going back to disobeying God's explicit commandment, why? ![]() 4. Stop following ideas you have been fed by pastors and mogs. Instead, open the Gospels and learn from God's over 2000-year-old Truth what you ought instead to do to overcome sin in your life once and for all. ![]() I am quite aware of how many of you believe that anyone who speaks the Words of Jesus Christ to you immediately seems like the devil himself, but that is ok by me since the one you seem against is Jesus Christ Himself. I am simply here doing my job as one who is His follower. ![]() |

SeriouslySense:Grace, according to the Gospels, refers to the eternal Life you receive when you become a believer. It is that same grace that will be on those born-agains who will end up spending that eternal life in eternal damnation at the end of the day. ![]() Don't let your lack of understanding of what is Paul's doctrine, lead you foolishly into Hell at the end. Go back to Jesus Christ, the one who is the King in the Kingdom of God to learn the Truth of God before it is too late for you. ![]() |

I am saying that we are under grace, which is through faith, which should evidently produce good fruits. If we believe In Jesus and we love God, then we would obey his commandment. God also understands our weaknesses, but his grace is also sufficient for us. We must really grow in faith. Its just like a wife to her husband, if she really loves him, she would also honor his family. And if she really trusts him, she would work with him. Sometimes we loose faith, we do not trust in the Savoir and we tend not to depend on our savoir, or we grow weary and our faith is not deeply rooted or we become distracted. God has promised to be with us until the end, and we should trust in this promise. Kobojunkie: |
| Re: Why A Christian Should Not Settle For Sexual Lust by Kobojunkie: 11:19pm On Jul 31, 2022 |
SeriouslySense:1. All you are doing is regurgitating the same jargon that you have been filled with by your pastors and mogs, lies, which Jesus Christ warned will only nullify the power of God in your life rendering your supposed worship of God meaningless - Matthew 15 vs 1 - 14 and Mark 7 vs 1 - 13 . The faith required to save you in the Kingdom of God is continuous submission and obedience to the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ. This is what Jesus Christ taught His followers - John 14 vs 15 - 20 & John 15 vs 7 - 14 & Matthew 7 vs 24 - 29. Any other kind is not of Jesus Christ. ![]() 2. The only way to grow in faith is through continuous submission and obedience of the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ. This is the only way to acquire faith and grow your faith in Jesus Christ. Even then Jesus Christ also explained that it is only those who do good works as He did, this through continuous submission and obedience of His Truth - John 14 vs 12 - 17 - will enter into Heaven after He returns and judges the world - Matthew 25 vs 31 - 46 ![]() 3. The Only way to honor God is through the obedience of His Law. This has been the case since Adam and remains the same way even now in Jesus Christ. To put it simply, Jesus Christ said those who are His friends are those who do as He commands - John 15 vs 14 - meaning those who do not do as He commands are His enemies. The same Jesus Christ made it quite clear that His Love is meant only for those who obey His teachings and commandments - John 13 vs 1 & John 15 vs 10 - 11. Meaning that all those who refuse to obey Him yet claim to be loved by Him are not only liars but are also enemies of Jesus Christ instead. So you need to ask yourself, who do you really serve by your refusal to obey the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ? Definitely can't be God or Jesus Christ. ![]() |

Kobojunkie:I'm not going to go this lane with you Mr junkie No 1: How do the lies get into your heart? Isn't it by seeing ungodly things on social media not one of the ways? No 2: Did I ever say social media causes anyone to sin? If you read well, you'd have seen that I kept emphasizing on the content. e g things that pollute the heart, the ungodly things the algorithm feeds you, immoral comments on NL and so on. The truth of God's word still tells you to stay away from all appearance of evil. If as a Christian, you spend your day watching videos with sexual undertones on TikTok, somehow your thoughts would get defiled. If you spend the whole day reading comments that doubt the existence of God and miracles on that Twitter and nairaland, doubt would definitely creep into your heart unconsciously. Such that you may have a hard time believing the Bible the next time you read it. Infact there's a way you'll stay online reading about politics in Nigeria for example, that your attention will shift from God. My point is that for the truth of the Word to be alive and working in you, you must keep away from all appearance of evil. No body is saying you should go live under a rock. All I'm saying is that you must guard your heart because that's what the Word says. If you live and walk in the spirit by the way, you won't find several comments on Nairaland godly by the way. Guard your heart is written in the bible for a reason. No 3: Oga how do you guard your heart? It's by allowing the word in you. It's by minding what you hear and see and think. It's by renewing your mind by the word. It's by conforming to the word . No 4: Lol. I'd rather follow people that have interacted with the word and communed with the word. People that are living the word/lived the word like my beloved Pastor Chris and Kenneth Hagin. I wouldn't follow your advice kobojunkie. Your previous comments show that you're under a heavy covering of deceit. You know it. It's time for you to yield to the word and be changed. Time is ticking. |

Sure, we grow by putting our faith into practice. That makes us grow, first we are saved by accepting Jesus into our lives and trusting in what God has done, he will surely deliver us. Our faith should keep growing, because Jesus is the only hope we have. If we love God and we are growing in that love, we will obey his commandments, we are still under grace. So we must strengthen our faith, although God has not given us a spirit of fear, we should fear only God. We have a high priest in heaven who pleads on our behalf with the father, we are saved through following Jesus, through the grace of God, we received the Holy Spirit who helps us, we must always stand up when we fall and acknowledge our Savor. This corruptible body will put on an incorruptible body. John 15 vs 7 - 14 7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. 9 “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. 10 If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. 11 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. 12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command. Matthew 7:24-29 24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.” 28 When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, 29 because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law. At the end of the day Mr kobojunkie, I dont argue the Word with people. I find it stressful, useless and time consuming. I believe that the Word is enough to cause changes in anyone that pays attention to Him(Jesus). Now, thing is... You clearly don't have any understanding of what you've been saying. I just read a line of your diary and realized you don't even believe in the Trinity. So there's no need wasting precious time with you. The word is not for arguments. It's used to cause changes in the lives of people. It surely did and is still doing that in my life. It's power and not mere knowledge. If you want to come alive to the word, stop teaching heresies. Humble yourself, repent and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal Himself to you. He will. Selah. |

Instead, what you have revealed is that you instead follow the doctrines and traditions of your mogs and pastors, that which Jesus Christ warned all His followers to steer clear of and never confuse with God's Truth as they are all lies - Matthew 15 vs 1 -14 and Mark 7 vs 1 - 13. ![]() One thing comes right across from everything I have discussed with you so far. @Formom, let me teach you something else about the Trinity doctrine which you cling so dearly to as if your life is somehow saved by it. ![]() The Trinity doctrine isn't just illogical but it is also unscriptural and hence a lie.. this is since it does not concur with any of the details presented to us and stated by Jesus Christ Himself as far as who He is. ![]() As written in Scripture, Jesus Christ is God, but nowhere in Scripture are we informed that God(Father) is Jesus Christ though. Again, Jesus Christ is God, and God(the Father) is God, but God is not Jesus Christ. This is a logical case of A is B but B is not A. And there is a reason for this which Jesus Christ explained clearly to His followers. ![]() In Scripture, beginning in the Old Testament, we learn the following of God : ▪︎ God is God of Wrath ▪︎ God is God of Laws ▪︎ God is Good/Righteous ▪︎ God is Faithful ▪︎ God is Love ▪︎ God is True (Word) ▪︎ God is Life ..... And of Jesus Christ, we are informed by Him that He is ▪︎ God's Truth (Word) ▪︎ God's Life ▪︎ God's Law (one of many) aka The Way So, as Jesus Christ explained, He is made from some of the same essences that is God(Father), they are both in synch as far as that which they share - this since ■He, Jesus Christ, is in the Father, and the Father is in Him(Jesus Christ), ■all that He gives you is that which the Father gives Him, ■He does only that which His Father bids Him do, ■ He cannot do anything apart from the Father, ■ He said," “My Father never stops working, and so I work too.” ■ He said, “I assure you that the Son can do nothing alone. He does only what he sees his Father doing. The Son does the same things that the Father does. The Father loves the Son and shows him everything he does." ....etc. So, He, Jesus Christ, is indeed God. However, since Jesus Christ doesn't possess all of the essences of God inside of Him, God isn't Jesus Christ. ![]() |

SeriouslySense:1. So you are invariably saying Jesus Christ lied in Matthew 24 vs 12 - 13 and Mark 13 vs 13 then when He declared that salvation for all only takes place when one stands faithful until the end and not before? ![]() 2. The same Jesus Christ whom you accuse of lying sealed you? Come on! Either He is God's Truth or He is a liar... He cannot be both so which is it for you? ![]() 3. Seems your understanding runs counter to Jesus Christ's Truth since redemption from God's Law happens after death, not before. It is the case with God's Old Covenant Law of Moses, hence examples like Saul who was anointed by still ended up kicked out of God's grace -, and it is still the case even in God's New Covenant Law and the Kingdom of God. ![]() So you need to ask yourself, who do you really serve by your refusal to obey the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ?
