I fear not the programmer who has studied 10 programming languages in 10yrs, but the programmer who has studied 1 programming language in 10yrs

Tho most will disagree but I agree with this... I am a front end web developer and have noticed the moment many finish learning html and css, after learning a little of Javascript they start jumping to frame works like jQuery, react, vue, angular etc....

But for me I just want to ensure I have master html, css and JavaScript

Don’t even bother. You engage and you are about to enter one slippery slope. They don’t know how to take criticisms, are quick to hurl invectives yet have a thin skin when same is hurled at them. They claim to be building the Reddit of Nigeria, and while that is a wonderful lofty ambition, they will be quick to “place a curse” if you point out shortcomings.
