At the risk of sounding misogynistic, I know women are usually very good at administration, but there is this problem with giving them power, they are too emotional and have a penchant for taking things personally sometimes, and in those moments they can be quite irrational and brutal...as the saying goes 'hell hath no fury like a woman scorned' if I may add 'whether rightly or wrongly'

The question is if he was in contempt or not, then her actions will be examined if it complied with the law or not

Just imagine if this woman was to be a president of a Nation..

She as a CJ made an observation that there's a presence of a reporter and that the reporter should leave and his phone confiscated.. It was done..

Now a lawyer made an observation of the presence of two armed police officers with AK47s behind him in the courtroom and asked the CJ to direct them to leave as their presence had made the atmosphere tense and that he was uncomfortable , and he was sent to jail...

How fair and balanced is that?..

The truth is she was never convicted and never sentenced .
The allegation was criminal defamation NOT SLANDER which carries a maximum sentence of one year in prison. It carries an option of fine

Kemi was the first person in the living memory over the last 50 years to be tried under that law. Even under the military government no one was tried for criminal defamation
Normally when a person is charged for minor offences they are not remanded and would not end up spending months in prison for an alleged offence that carries a fine.
The bottomline She was oppressed with money.
Ned Nwoko is now building on that
My point? Since we kept quiet then we should keep quiet on this one too and stop being hypocrites

True but there should be no hurry to enforce a minor sentence like that unless there is a vendetta. There should be space for appeal . The way it was carried out appears vindictive
