Also, if she had distractions, it is possible she did not read as much

Also, in Law School, there is something called conditional pass; if you fail one of two courses, you have to resit both.

If you fail Professional Ethics, you will have to rewrite all 5 courses.

There are multiple ways you can finish with First Class and end up resitting Bar Exams.
