Insanely hot! It would have been more than that if indiscipline didn't kill us in the lightweight female category.

The pair were disqualified before the start of competition after arriving 25 minutes late to a kit check, and they appeared visibly distraught on footage of the event.

Two athletes from Nigeria team were disqualified due to non-compliance to Technical Rules 17.1.4 ‘athletes does not present out to the kit check in the scheduled time and/or with a form of identification, they will be disqualified (DSQ)

The two athletes were present at 2.10pm, 25 minutes late from the schedule kit check time 1.45pm

You see what is good for the geese is also good for the gander. I am a vanguard and crusader against ethno-religio-tribal bigotry and egocentricity. I always only talk when kettle is calling pot black.

If you think the north is not good in sport (the assertion of a fool anyway) and hence not represented, why don't you think the south may not also be good at politics hence the northern dominance.
Sports is all about competence, intelligence, talent, hardwork, determination, ambition and being competitive. That the North lack people with these characteristics is not anybody's fault. Blame your leaders for failing to develop human capital in all facets of life. There are some things you can't just mix with religion. Excellence and merit is one of them.

They always hide under those term to display nepotism but quick to accuse others. The same goes on football. It is obvious that anywhere the South vis-a-vis christains dominated, they close doors against the northerners/Muslims.

If Nigeria should divide now you think the north will not be represented in those games and win medals.

Something is very wrong with you people to think that the north lacks sportsmen/women.

Sometimes they even believe there are no schools in the north. You will all be disappointed by technology soon. There is no monopoly of knowledge again, thanks to technology.

You have to prove it by winning medals for Nigeria and not by foaming in the mouth.

Do you know that so many Igbos and Yorubas are representing other nations in this competition? From Ola Abidogun to Cindy Sember to Lawrence Okoye to Karen Adenegan to Temitayo Oyinbo-Coker to Victoria Ohuruogu to Abigail Irozuru to Ojie Edoburun... The list is endless

Are they also victims of nepotism?

You people should sit up and stop playing victims once merit is rewarded.
