Jodera..... I have Zinchenko and Martinelli in my FPL Team, but I benched them.
Omo
You'd have gotten 20 cool points from them. I got ramsdale and Gabriel on mine though.

Jodera ... Now I can smile grin grin

We did it!

The only negative from the match is our weak bench. Just imagine the way Tearknee slotted in for Zinch and Nketiah, for Jesus...can Nelson and Pepe do the same for Martinelli and Saka respectively? I now know why Arteta is in market for another wide forward.
Lol... I told you na. The positives and ginger entering into that match is too much for us to lose grin

I'm not sure we'll get another wide forward except we sell/loan out Nelson and Pepe. I think we'll just be in for Tielemans and that's it.
Moreover, I'm still insisting that ESR will deputise for Martinelli, so na just Pepe and Nelson be the issue now embarassed

Great 3 points ystdy even though the game was nervy for most part. Coyg!!

Btw, Chelsea are begging leicester to accept around 70 million for Fofana who's not even as good as Saliba. grin
We've got a generational talent on our hands.
They were both former teammate.
BTW, what is Chelsea going to do with all these defenders na?
Kuli, Silva,Malam,Chalobarber, Cucu and now Fofana. SMH

Yes...but you know all the stats and superstition following all these early kickoff na.. look like Pepe is staying since Marquinho was not on bench yesterday.

I was shocked to see Tearknee come on yesterday. Never knew he was fit to play such game.

BTW this FPL na scam. I have Rammy,Saka and Jesus in my team. I was about to add Saliba when the thing raised a red flag. Why can't we have at least maximum of 5 players from the same team.
Now, I'm forced to choose Kuli and Silva

Torreira to Gala is completed. Once we trim down that Exit list, the sub will look more attractive, even in the Europa league.

Roma dey vex too o.
Bellerin and sadly, AMN will soon leave too.
I'm waiting for the gaffer to sort the squad first and let's see how good the bench will be.
Heard we are going for Diaby. 60M pere

My thoughts on yesterday's game

1... Special thanks to our awesome start. The first 15-25m, I thought we were prime Barca. The way we pressed, applied pressure and attacked was a joy to behold. So sad we couldn't maintain it for long period of time as crystal palace started dictating play from then on but at least it set the template of how we might want to play this season. Nice!!!

2.. One thing I love about our first goal is the creativity in the corner. It happened against Everton (last match of the season — Cedric goal) and now it's repeating itself. I love it when teams are creative with set pieces(freekicks or corners) even if it's just once per match as we're doing. When perfectly executed, it's mostly a goal up without much stress. Yesterday's game might either be a draw or lose if not for just that well-crafted creativity.

3... Big ups to Ramsdale for keeping us twice in the game. Even though he was jittery during the first half but he grew into the game and helped secured the clean sheet.

4.. There's the air of confidence Saliba brings in that backline. Calm and composed. His speed in sniffing out attack and reading of the game is joy to watch. It's no wonder when Arteta made stationed him at the centre (mostly the leader at the back)

5... Odegaard was anonymous ystdy. Even when we had good spells, he was somehow anonymous. And the jersey didn't help as it was almost his skin colour (just kidding) grin

6... Great game ystdy from the guys. Not good displays overall but good 3 points needed

Coyg!!!

Baba, after watching Palace last season, I knew Vieira is a decent coach. He knows how to set his side. He is also doing this on a thin budget. They easily could have gotten a result from this game if they were more clinical.

I hold the same position about White, especially about defending a player like Zaha, however, it is only for the first half because he was a mess in the 2nd.
White doesn't have the pace to match Zaha hence his credit. It's not easy marking Zaha o.

Most big teams will lose their first match when away to small teams. I have seen clubs just coming from Championship who beat defending champions in their first games and still got relegated.

I congratulate the team for holding on. Hopefully we will get better as the season wear on.

Ramsdale still misplacing passes. Nearly gifted a goal in the first half.

Aside for that misplaced pass and clearance which nearly caused a goal, he was superb (even his passes was great before and after that). There was a reason I said he was jittery and that's because it was two I was insinuating

Europa contenders are majorly Two Epl teams and Roma. It will be an interesting game if we meet Roma in the KO stages.

Man, I fear those Spanish teams more than the italian ones. For some reason, we have a great record against the Italians. The hope is no Spanish or English team drops down to compete in the Europa.

We will be lucky to get up to 50m from their sale.

As for Roma, the Mourinho factor is why I'm afraid and nothing else.

Pepe is not a waste of space and talent. He just doesn't suit our play naturally and he has refused to adapt. On his day, he can be unplayable.
