True, l see what you mean with government involvement but those guys are politicians.. They are not interested. The private sector and communities must decide to collectively fund sport and training for our youths....The UK used national lottery fund to sponsor sport, athletics and pay professional athletes ... .. I guess we can collectively donate or fund a sporting council or agencies that sponsor young sporting professionals.. Most times an athlete gets injured and they're left on their own... The private sector can capitalise on sport just like nollywood or music or entertainment.

Government policy is a problem. The private sector is even struggling to hold on rn, let alone look to investing in Sports.
