I know it might likely be rumours but looking at it vividly, the midfield we have currently is not sustainable on the long run
Elneny has one more year...
Xhaka has two more years...
Partey will be 30 soon and may likely not be fit..
Sambi is kinda still raw...
ESR will deputise for Marti...
Tbag will deputise for Ode...
So, by next summer we will be back for new midfielders. Why not get it done now and allow them to synergize with the squad rather than going back to the market next summer.

Cedric comes across as a very likeable person, he's somone that has good relationship with everyone, I noticed this from the preseason videos I watched, he's friends with everyone and he's always smiling, that's one of the qualities of a good manager.

There's this scene from one of the episodes of all of nothing (I think episode 3) where he and Arteta were talking about memorization of phone numbers, with response he gave to Arteta, I felt like he's someone that's intelligent and a deep thinker. IJS.

Huh?? I always knew Arteta may likely start coaching since his Everton days. Anyway, the flops do make better coaches than the superstars though so Cedric might just be on the touchline one day.

Firstly, Tonali is not going anywhere. He is a true Rossoneri and money will not matter to him. We are talking about a kid that took a pay cut just to join Milan. Milan will renegotiate his contract. He will always get attention, last season it was City.

Also, we have barely replaced the ones we sold, worth more losing a talent like Tonali, definitely not this season if it was to happen. Tonali/ Leao are amongst the untouchables at Milan.

Tonali is a Defensive Midfielder with great ball technique and play making offensive abilities. He can also play central midfield but his best position is the DM

I saw Arteta as a manager when Wenger made him captain. The person I never thought of was Henry. To be honest I felt then he had a bit of mental disorders.

For Xhaka that will be carefully eased away(I believe), we still have Odegaard, Tielemans*, Veira and Sambi. Sambi no fit still dey raw after this season especially playing one of the number 8 role. Then we still have a certain Patino that I'm sure is highly rated by Arsenal and Arteta. If I include ESR for that role that's potentially 6 players jostling for just 2 roles in the future, or 3 top players for one position.

In Arteta's Everton days, I just loved him as a player. It was when he joined Man city backroom staff as Pep's assistant that I now read why and I found out that he was really good in interpreting tactics and all that. And that even sometimes, him and Wenger will go through so many tactics, formations and sort and I'm like ... Wow!!

That bolded na the reason I told Most.ob it might be difficult for us to get him cos aside Milan highly rating that boy to lose him, but the guy's insistence on wanting Milan during his time in Brescia made me know say e go hard. I followed that guy's news then when he was branded "the new Pirlo" almost everywhere before finally securing the move and I also knew how important he was for you guys league triumph.
