Citizens in SE states have been demonstrating against Ebubeagu. They have been asking their governors to disband the group.

Ebubeagu in Imo state has been particularly notorious, killing and maiming innocent people and tagging them IPOB in justification.

The straw that broke the camel's back was the massacre of youths that attended a wedding.

If it is proven that the real Ebubeagu commander in Imo state was dealt with, I will be appalled that a human life is lost, but I will also understand the action, owing to the many human rights abuses of the Ebubeagu group.

Is there not Ebubeagu in every other SE state? So why is it that it is only in Imo that the people are complaining.?

If you say the Governor has used the vigilante group to stifle opponents then lest I remind you that both Imo and Ebonyi were once ground zero for IPOB ESN activities following the jail breaks that occurred in Owerri and Abakalaiki central prison.

The Ebubeagu outfit have been tasked to fish out the escaped prisoners whom intelligence report had it that they had joined ESN and where going about attacking political allies and appointees of the Governor after Nnandi KANU declared that the governor had murdered sleep for the killings of one of the ESN commanders in Imo.

So what is happening in Imo is actually a war between IPOB and the State govt using IPOB members to attack govt and security facilities and men as well as those appointed or affiliated to the governor including traditional chiefs. I did read here that well over 3 chiefs were kidnapped and their severed heads displayed in the public square by ESN.

You can not blame Ebubeagu as they are being used for their intended purposes in places like Anambra, Ebonyi and Enugu with great success.

It is IPOB that declared war on them and the state govts in the SE and since they have been uprooted from Anambra, Ebonyi and parts of Enugu , it shows the governor of Imo is not employing as much brute force used by Umahi and Solodu in their respective states

My submission is that the governor of IMO is deeply despised by the people owing to how he emerged through the back door of a crooked SC ruling and how he has continued to be totally subservient to the Buhari Fulani govt that is hated in Igbo land.

But does that warrant burning down the state and turning it into a war zone?
