If you see something like Barcelona to win 1.25 odds

Handicap +1 for Barcelona means add one goal to the full time results will make them win.
e.g. if FT : 2-0 for Barcelona, then +1 makes it 3-0

if FT 1-1 for Barcelona, then +1 makes it 2-1

Handicap -1 means you are challenging Barcelona cuz you feel they are too good. -1 means remove 1 from their full time results and they will still win.

E.g. 3-0 FT for Barcelona, then -1 means 2-0.

Some bookie don't have the ± sign, what you need to do is look at the odds for the handicap. Challenge handicap are higher than that team Straight win, support handicap are lower than that team straight win.
