Gunmen on Sunday struck again this time by kidnapping four Reverend sisters of the Catholic church.

They were kidnapped at the now dreaded Okigwe-Enugu Road which has become a safe haven for kidnappers and armed robbers.

Of recent, many people, including the Primate of the Methodist Church of Nigeria, Catholic priests and travelers had been kidnapped.
Just last week, a Catholic priest, Revd Fr Chinedu Nwadike was kidnaped along on the road.

He was released two days after.

On the latest development, the four Rev’d sisters were kidnapped on their ways to morning mass.

The four kidnapped Rev’d sisters are, sisters Johannes Nwodo, Christabel Echemazu, Liberata Mbamalu and Benita Agu.

A statement issued by The Sisters Of Jesus The Saviour (Generalate) obtained by our correspondent disclosed that the women of God were abducted at the Okigwe-Umulolo area of the Expressway.

The statement which was tagged “sad news” read ” sisters Johannes Nwodo, Christabel Echemazu, Liberata Mbamalu and Benita Agu are kidnapped.

“Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, it is with great pain that we bring to your notice the kidnapping of four of our sisters mentioned above.

“The sad event of their abduction occured around Okigwe- Umulolo area this morning shortly after the sisters were on their way to thanksgiving mass of our sister.

“We implore for an intense prayer for their quick and safe release. May Jesus the savior listen to our prayers and may our mother Mary intercede for the unconditional release of our dear sisters.”

The spokesperson for the police in the state, Micheal Abattam, had yet to respond to an inquiry concerning the abduction as of the time of filing this report.

Fulani herdsmen are at it again, and their terrorists in police and army uniform are aiding them. All of those terrorists must be flushed out from the South East.

Flushing them out at the moment would be nigh on impossible as they’re either security personnel living or hiding in federal army or police barracks, or they’re herdsmen/bandits/terrorists boldly operating in the south-east under the protection….or in cahoots with these same criminal security personnel!

This will continue for as long as Buhari remains in power, so we just have to ride it out! And don’t expect most of our south-east governors and other political elite to say anything! They’re either pretending not to know what’s going on or they’re actually daft and have bought the lie sold by the actual enablers of these crimes….that it’s IPOB and ESN that’s going about kidnapping and murdering their own kinsfolk! Notice how NONE of them have said anything about the Fulani herdsmen operating in the south-east who kidnapped the Prelate of the Methodist Church of Nigeria!?
